I got pulled over 2 times during corona. Once in Louisiana and once IN Rhode island. Both times expired and I genuinely didn't know. Slipped my mind/trucks are annually instead of every other blah blah - no excuse, just ignorance on my part. Neither officer mentioned it. The one in state looking back like wtf....not even a mention let alone citation.

I thought at the time that worst case was 50/50, but apparently not. The officer wrote a neutral report since he didn't witness it. The damage was as in the picture and i believe i was far enough through the intersection that she had enough time to stop IF she was paying attention.

You have to convince the hearing officer that the insurance company didn't get it right against a presumption that they did.

It's an appeal and all appeals are looked at in the light most favorable to the "non moving" party. The non moving party is the one that made the initial decision. It's quasi judicial, but doesn't involve lawyers.

I hate to be a dink, again, but if you're saying you think it was any more than not your fault I'd just eat it. Unless they try to say it was 100% they'll likely aim for as close to 50/50 as possible then. You'll eat your deductible and raised rates for a few years but being relatively cheap and only vehicle damage you'll probably be pretty reasonable for cost changes overall.

Also not trying to be a dick and I don't know all the circumstances but... in Massachusetts if you were entering an intersection that the other person has the right of way at then you would be at fault. I don't know if this pertains to aĺl states but I believe most of them are this way.

BTW, ask me how I know.

When people give up the right of way and want me to go for no good reason, I force them to go or I change course and turn right or something to avoid driving in front of them. It gets them so flustered but I wish people would just follow the rules of the road. I don't trust them to stay put and if there's a crash because they don't, it would be my fault.

Not me, if someone gives me the right of way 95% of the time I just go. Your right about being in a crash but that's a great argument for the use of dash cameras.

Quick question about RI. Is it right on green arrow only or right after yielding/stop?

I have one but I would rather not have someone hit my truck in the first place. I just don't trust them. It's always for no reason too. I will be approaching a road where I need to stop and turn left and someone on that road will be planning to turn left onto my road. They don't have a stop sign and it's a 50 MPH road. But, for some reason they just stop and expect me to drive in front of them. Nobody else around. I don't understand their thinking.

A yield would never be legal. Right on red treats the red light as a stop sign.

+1 viofo a129 duo front and rear facing.

Right on red after stop unless signed "no right on red". Of course yielding right of way.

Specific intersection in mind that might be screwey?

PS RI has really taken a god damn liking to speed and red light cameras. Stop for 3 SECONDS or they count it as running a red. I don't go right on red at these intersections anymore.

    I want this.

While it is cool, I would rather have the original BRAT (not on the Toyota frame) or the Toyota Pickup (with 22RET!).

Speaking of a Subaru BRAT, there is a guy in Smithfield that has a restored (I think, or really nice original) one that he still drives around in the nicer weather.
