    High Proof at that.

I am considering paying secondary (the horror) just to have one I will never drink as a conversation piece. And of course, I'll be keeping my regular slum-dog Mellow Corn right next to it.

Gonna be a hefty price tag, the 17 year heritage was over 1K secondary

After thinking it over a bit, I order one of these chillers. I think it's expensive, but from previous experience with DIY cooler A/C units, I think it will work pretty well. Together with some clear ice, it should provide a cool drink without much watering down of the whiskey.

Michter’s Sour Mash is allocated in North Carolina, and is one of those random bottles from a distillery I like that just hasn’t piqued enough interest in the past for me to hunt it.

Randomly came across one a couple or three weeks ago on the shelf and thought why not.

After finally cracking it I’m happy to report it’s delicious. Super caramelly and mellow, will be a great warm weather treat.

Also had a chance to try 1792 single barrel last night which I also enjoyed. First time I’ve ever seen it.

Been having my eye on the dagger. Waiting for the gray sw2 slide with rear sight rear to go on sale. Those slides are sexy.

Finished off the Blade and Bow last night. I really liked this one with the sweet butterscotch flavor. Back on the hunt for a new bottle.

Not sure where to go next. I’ll have to stop by some of the local stores and see what peaks my interest.

So what's with the numbered keys on the Blade And Bow? Is it the batch number?

I don’t believe it is related to a batch, I think they adorn any one of the five keys to any batch they come out with. The keys are supposed to symbolize the different steps in bourbon making, while paying homage to the Stitzel-Weller Distillery.

    https://www.bladeandbowwhiskey.com/five-keys-club

If you collect all five you can send them in for an etched glass with your name on it. However they do not ship it and you must pick it up from the Stitzel-Weller Distillery in Kentucky.
