Rotten egg smell is usually a bad catalytic converter. If it's jammed up it will send bad readings to the ECU which will cause other issues.

Fuel pressure can be checked easily as can exhaust backpressure, majority of the time I get cars with a a foul exhaust smell it's due to a misfire or running rich (which can quickly destroy catalytic converters if not promptly repaired).
Codes should be checked first, if no codes then fuel trims, fuel pressure, and exhaust backpressure would be high the list of things to check.
Don't just start replacing parts, that almost always builds in more problems and ends up costing more than a proper diagnosis and repair.

Guys thanks for your responses and help thus far. It took me a minute to figure out how to locate and read these replies …. codes yes let’s see I got po171 “system too lean”
So I tried cleaning the mass airflow sensor then had to drive to Galveston texas and the truck struggled the trip there and of course the bad egg smell so I purchased the mass air flow sensor and replaced it … no real difference

Returned to San Antonio had mechanic read it again and it indicated cylinder misfires so I bought plugs and coil packs and did those yesterday. Sounds good but still running rough and hesitating. Haven’t noticed the egg smell …. So now what ….ha lol

I'd want to look at fuel trims on both banks and see if there is a significant imbalance, it's possible you have an AFR sensor that is skewed/lying.

Wow. I feel like I may be getting somewhere with this mystery dance I’ve been having with my truck. I appreciate your insight.
Let me say I’m not real sure what the AFR sensor is but I’ll start looking into it asap tomorrow. Birthday and all lol Would that be best addressed with mechanic over parts house ?

There are 2, one for each bank of cylinders. They provide feedback to the PCM to help maintain fuel control, if they are not functioning properly then the PCM can not accurately control air/fuel ratios. I'm not saying that is definitely the problem but it's definitely something I would want to check.

Absolutely if you can find a competent technician that will actually test and not just fire parts at it.
