I've got some 4.0 and 5.0 batteries I was just curious about the suction it had. I don't know anyone personally that has one. I have a good corded shop vac but anytime I can ditch the cord is a good day.

Well. I just set the saw up and it's defective. The slide mechanism is not smooth at all. Has a light/mild grinding feel. So much that the saw head wobbles ever so slightly. Not at all acceptable for trim work. I'll call Milwaukee in the morning to see if I can simply return to one of the nearby Home Depots. It's all packed back up in the box.

    Shit happens.

Its a decent dustbuster for around the house but don't expect it to be good for jobsite use with the limited suction, it has a hard time getting dried grass out of the vehicle carpets. It compares ok to other dustbusters I've used for around the house, I bought it for pet hair and dirt they track in, alone with already having m12 batteries and the 5 year warranty it has.
Different coworkers have the m12 and m18 wet dry vacs and they both really like them even for cleaning cars/trucks.

I spend alot of time Surf Fishing on the NC coast and sand is always an issue. That would be it's primary use. Cleaning up after fishing trips.

That sucks, I know guys with the 10 and 12” saws and they like them. Never used one of those 7 1/4 myself. Hopefully yours is just defective and not the quality Milwaukee intends to put out there

It should be fine with sand, as long as its not crushed into the carpet.

I've had this saw as well as the 10" since Nov 2020. I use the 7 1/4" 80% of the time. Both have been great. I think they just sent me a dud. The one I sent back for repair slid like butter (just like my 10"). So something is definitely not right.

Oh there will be some mods all right
I'm still staying strong and holding off buying it until it's part of a deal of sorts (kit with multiple tools or at least a battery or 2)

I love Milwaukee tools, but can't see a use for an inflator.

I reckon some of us would use it for inflating shit.

No yeah I get that; just wonder how long batteries would last inflating multiple times on an outing.

Yeah, I run the same Viair myself.

One thing I hate is how inaccurate the gauge is; I loved the accuracy of my Powertank setup (not to mention the speed).

With the Viair, you just carry spare fuses. With the Milwaukee, I reckon you'd carry spare batteries

I’m not sure yet, but I did 4 tires today to top of my 33s. From (cold weather) the mid 20s. 6 ah still had 4 bars. I’m not sure how much harder on the battery airing up from single digits would be yet.
I read on a Reddit forum when I was doing some research that it was 1.40 @ zero PSI. Not sure if that is a fact or not.

Haven't has the fuse issue myself, but also don't run for super long periods (i.e. don't air down often or super low), but would love to hear feedback on the Milwaukee unit. That said, the 400p has been fucking awesome and keeps up with what I've thrown at it. To your point @Kwikvette, it could use refinement on the regulator...

Be curious to see how many fill-ups you get from single digits using the same battery as a test.

I haven't had one burn out either, but do let it run for quite a bit as I'm used to sitting there waiting for my tires to fill up. Rather have more fuses on hand *just in case*

Took a bit when I had 35's, now I'm back to 33's and it's still about a minute each (give or take) like earlier today.
