    I did - and that's why, I managed to find a set elsewhere. :D

I'm thinking of adding a sight glass like they have on those after market coolant overflow bottles.

And yeah, maybe I'm too paranoid - I know people who've been to Driven and they haven't had a problem. There's good respect in the car community I guess.

Operation 18" sub nearly done. Let's hope it's too much bass...

@Athlaos how did you get your G37 seats in without the side airbags?

The seats basically aren't hooked up except for the seatbelt warning. There's an entirely new harness for the heat and power controls.

Ahh ok. I wish there was something available that can plug in or I can swap my airbags to.

I think some were interested a while back, I use the Hurst shifter along with the URD shifter. I also shortened the knob shaft by about 4". It's a nice, short shift. I recently replaced my Hurst with a new one, the old one had quite a bit of slop in the fulcrum, the new shifter looks better built and it has way less slop now, so that's good.

I had the URD extender pressed on to the old shifter ball so I couldn't remove it - ultimately decided to weld the stock shifter ball onto the new shifter to extend it. Sorry there isn't a good picture of the final weld, but the weld was kinda ugly anyways (my friend did a way better job tig welding than I could have though, he said the base metal seemed to have a lot of porosity in it and was being difficult).

Yeah that's fair. Safety first! Or at least second or third.

My friend starting working on my real exhaust, finally, a 3". I'll do a before and after sound clip. And maybe even a dyno if I can find the time.

Yup I'm just spamming all the build threads, bragging about my new parts! :D

What kind of exhaust you got planned? Doing a new y-pipe or you had the urd one?

Nothing too serious - just a 3" back from the URD y-pipe using the stock format flange. The same friend said he could probably build an equal length Y-pipe as well, but that's for down the road and/or when my car can function as a primary vehicle again.

Maybe you'll want to buy one from him once we iron out a prototype?

Nah, I'm firmly in the don't bother with a Y-pipe camp now since I'm already set up that way. If it was prior to that I would have totally been interested.

No, I got tired of waiting for the Roost y-pipe so did catless dual exhaust from headers back with an x-pipe after resonators and before the mufflers.

New 3" exhaust finally. Well, almost. Needs a better flange, so that's a future upgrade.

    Sound clip to come.
