Hot Wheels

Not exactly sure what this is but my buddy shoved it into my ridding bag when out enjoying the nice weather

but it’s pretty neat the doors even open

Grammy hooked the kids up.

 

Picked up some of my friends collection today. Will try to pick up the rest next weekend. He passed away about a month ago and his family gave me his collection. Will post some pictures soon. There’s a lot. I will keep most of it trade, sell, and give some of it away. This is less than half of it.

 

Some of it was covered some of it not so a lot of it is pretty dusty and dirty.

 

He collected a lot of vw busses and bugs.

I’ll be honest I hadn’t looked yet lol was in a bit of pain from riding all morning and came home posted it then passed out lol

Williams63 is going to enjoy going through his friends things. Just in those pictures I was saying wow.
I was drooling over the Mooneyes Altered Topolino and then I realized there was a lot of other really cool stuff in those boxes.
We all need friends like that. Also made me think what will they do with my collection when I'm gone?

My wife has always said she would sell all of my collection and I have two girls who have no interest in hot wheels but said they would probably keep a car or two. Cleaning up his house made me realize I need to get not just my cars organized but all my crap too. He had a lot! As we were cleaning we kept finding cars everywhere. He had a room with display cases that I have seen but didn’t know he had them everywhere else. I still have to go back and pick up the rest of the cars and a display cabinet. I will post pictures of all of them as time goes by.

 

The ones I have not opened up are in 27 gallon plastic totes with lids that I get from Home Depot so they won't be collecting that much dust.. but it is a concern of mine as well.. as well as the bins of the Star Wars collection from the 90's.

@williams63 - I feel this goes without saying but I would be interested in dealing on any Fire & Rescue type vehicles you may come across.

 

Interested myself. He was a vw guy and collected bugs, buses, and he loved the 50 mercs. But I found a lot of cars I never knew he collected and a lot of it I didn’t go through.

 

@Kilo Charlie i don’t believe there is much of fire and rescue but you will have first dibs of any of it.

Did the HEB thing and saw that the wall was not very stocked...got a few matchbox's. Then I turned the corner and saw a cubby with Hot Wheel cars. This is what I got....I had my orange matchbox box stuffed when I left as seen on the right of the shelf.
