Nice Ricardo. Did you put cam tab reinforcements on as well?

Nope, I have weld a bead behind the oem tabs for extra reinforcement some time ago. No news on that front, they held up very nicely after a couple of desert/trail runs.

https://www.crutchfield.com/p_108R9633IM/Infinity-Reference-REF-9633ix.html?tp=91 Installed the 6x9 3-way speakers this afternoon, Infinity Reference 9633ix by Harman with the attenuation switch on the tweeters set at 0 dB (+3dB is the other option). As pleased as I've been with the Sony MEX-N5300BT (20 watts RMS per channel) running the factory speakers at half the volume of the OEM Delphi stereo receiver, the heavier speakers on ********* spacers are solid, driven at even less volume from the radio.

Hauoli Makahiki Hou 2023! (I was a JPO at Aikahi Elementary School 1966-'67, and lucky enough to stop an entire Marine convoy on its way back to Kaneohe Bay MCAS with my long pole stop sign. Our sergeant (we were all in 6th grade) asked me why I put my sign out. "You blew the whistle (for the four stop sign wielders at the intersection)." We were all grinning and saluting back and forth as students crossed the highway at the end of the 8-2 school day. Mom and I hoped all those young guys made it home...from VN.)

This was for 2003-2009 4Runner. It's 25 degrees outside, not testing this right now lol. But does anyone know if auto locking doors was a thing?

From a short stint of research I did right after I got it and let go of my F150, no. I only miss the auto-lock functionality in motion. The whole park/unlock, drive/lock part is inherently dangerous.

The story I'll remember is of a cannery worker in Cordova, Alaska who drove the mile trip up hill to pick up a pack of cigarettes for his friend during a 15-minute break, parked at the store, ran in for the cigs, and when he got to his rig, it was idling with all the doors locked, and he HAD to get back to work. Can lines don't stop. Reminds me of the School Resource Officer who checks all the classrooms in the morning to see that they're locked. He said that a door between the music and art rooms could only be locked from one side, so maintenance installed a deadbolt and teachers don't have a key... Homeland Insecurity...

Little install this weekend. Paranoid Fabrication ARB turn signal bracket and a set of Nilight lights. Good output so far in the darkness of my shop Saturday night as i did a little light check

also fresh wheel bearings and Powerstop brakes and pads quick couple hrs in the shop this weekend.

edit. and my wheels aren't that bad it's just me dropping it after the bearings and brakes.

Where did get your wheel bearings from and what brand did you go with? Was it a pretty easy install?

i got some TRQ ones from Extreme terrain, at the same time as i got my Powerstop brake package.

as for the install, needed to remove the brakes and rotors, so 17mm bolts for the calipers a 12mm for the bracket that holds the brake soft line to the caliper, and i like to pull the ABS/wheel speed sensor out 10mm. once all that is off, i use a small wood chisel to get up under the edge of the dust cap. pull cotter pin remove retainer and zip off the 35mm axle nut bolt. then 4 more 17mm bolts around the face of the hub and you're almost there honestly. once you re install torque to 173lbs. i think its easy

now it seems TRQ per some are not the best quality but as easy in my mind as they are to do for me id be willing to risk using that warranty. oh! and they don't have the rear axle seals or the hub O rings can't remember the name of the part

actually if jump on youtube TRQ has a video showing the install like 10min video while not perfect its pretty east to follow along.

I'm gonna dig into the research on that tonight and I actually was looking at the TRQ ones my toyota dealer this morning quoted 160 for both new front ones which isn't bad at all and being toyota they have warranty as well.

160 for the pair for fronts. And not including install which I'd obviously do myself being I've done most of the work on my truck my buddy is the parts manager at the dealer so I get his cost

Any Mods? One. Maybe two, tops...
Does anyone know the area or square footage (length X width) of the outer skin of the front doors?

Hoping someone knows so I don’t have to take the door apart… :crapstorm:

    Thanks.
