This is by far truly bad ass for the community. I would gladly pay for the info you have provided in a super easy layout, all in one page. If you are accepting donations, let us know. I would gladly donate for your hard work and time...and yes, dedication.

Thanks for the words! It’s been my pleasure seeing a pastime help people. Hell, I reference my own videos all the time. Front brakes should be coming pretty soon!

Thanks a lot brother. No need for donations, knowing the charts and short vids help people (including myself) is all I need. Take care and stay maintained!

Just finished my drain and fill, and can confirm my 2020 did not need the jumper wire for temp check! Gonna start on the dreaded spark plug change later today. Thanks again

Niceee. Be ready for a bit of claustrophobia on the driver side. Good luck!

Update: Fixed part number error and URL on all files. Previously showed 2.7L air filter PN and linked to the wrong filter as well. Apologies if someone ordered the wrong air filter.

I’m doing this soon. What’s the procedure without the jump wire? Same as with just omitting that part?

    Thanks in advance!

Taken from the “notes” comment on the trans video:

One user (zacharylechevalier202) reports they could get their 2020 Tacoma into temp check mode without a wire as their truck does not have a live connection in the OBD port 13. They just did the neutral drive back and forth.

So it does seem easier and simply not needing the wire. Good luck!

yeah exact same, I shifted through all gears slowly, then D N D N etc… until the neutral disappeared , throw it in P and wait. Took about 8 min (thought I did it wrong) at 61°

    Soft Taco,

Was at Peterson three times in a 30 year career, but the bulk on my time was world wide with the Air Intel Agency. Got more TDY time than several people deserve, but would gladly do it again with hesitation. Now retired enjoying the 4wd trails in my Tacoma.
    Cheers

That’s an awesome career. At Carson myself. Give me 7ish more years and I’ll be nicely retired myself. Cheers!

Thank you for doing this! I’ve been sharing and liking the heck out of the channel. Awesome videos and tutorials! I didn’t take pics but did my front and rear diffs plus transfer case fluid this weekend and tbh my fluids looked much much better than I thought they would bring it was the first time I’d changed them in 130k miles.
Also did my power steering flush and drain w valvoline full synthetic ATF
Coolant drain and flush with PEAK -Asian red/pink 3.5 qts concentrate and 3.5 qts 50/50
I used Royal Purple Max Gear 75-90w for diffs and transfer case

eagerly waiting your brake fluid videos to do my brake drain flush and bleed

Very much appreciated! I still owe us a good number of videos, just letting the truck out some miles on the last changes. Ha, when I do front brakes soon the pads coming off will definitely have some life left. Awesome work on keeping that truck maintained. I ran 75w-90 in the t case but then switched to OEM fluid just out of pointless desire. My local dealership runs 75w-90 in both diffs and t case. Brake fluid videos not far off.
