My truck does have it's share of old age issues and quirks. Moisture got into the right headlight and shorted out one of the LED rings, so that has to be replaced. Other than that, and the fact that the aftermarket Bluetooth system doesn't work properly, my truck is fine...

    ICE COLD A/C
    Incredibly hot heat
    Killer aftermarket stereo
Three upgrades that were never available on a regular cab 5-lug Taco; Intermittent windshield wipers, a backup camera, and intermittent wipers
    Tons of new parts
    Clean title

Most of those have rotted away in my neck of the woods; I'm hoping that in Nevada, it had A/C!

Negative! The summers were brutal. But it was such a fun truck to drive around, one tire fire baby!

Mine has a brake-actuated limited slip, so on wet roads I can switch off the traction control and pretent my truck has positraction!

In closing, I wanted to add further, that truck was a classic, a true classic, I took time to restore her pain and her interior which I FULLY restored. What I’m getting at is that we have a deep sense of true appreciation for craftsmanship and I truly do miss that truck. It was always a head turner, especially windows down, cruising on a hot august night.

Did you have a stereo system? The system I've got in my truck is one of many reasons I do not want to sell it. A lot of the components were gifts from relatives, and my friend helped me install it basically for free. To replicate my stereo, not including labor if I had a shop do it, would easily cost $1,500 or more!

Oh yeah. Had the OEM steel and speakers, still worked. But I just got a giant ass Bluetooth speaker that would cover up the passenger seat area and it would be loud af. Like, night at the Roxbury type shit.

I am going to an import car show at the Cecil County Dragway in Maryland in just under two weeks; I had found out about it late last year and have been planning to go since before I reconnected with Amanda. I was originally going to drive out for the day since it takes less than a half hour to get there from my house; Amanda really likes cars, and getting some alone time with her has been difficult for numerous reasons, so I invited her and she readily accepted. So, in order to get a romantic night with my girlfriend and a car show in the same weekend, I reserved a hotel room. After a little research, I found a Comfort Inn just 3.5 miles from the dragway, and I got us a room with a king bed for $145!

I called the sheriff office this evening over that Charger being in my driveway. A lady in a bad mood answered and basically said it's my responsibility to pay for it to be towed and then recoup the money from the owner. I explained again that I don't know who the owner is, no idea if she is sending a unit to my house as she hung up

Gee, I wonder what is on your mind for that night
Not offering a pass for their response, but law enforcement currently has their hands full with more pressing matters. I would however be pissed at that response.

By the sheriffs logic, if it’s your responsibility, why can’t you (legally) push the thing into the street? Not your vehicle, not your problem?

Well a cop showed up a minute ago and was a million times nicer than the lady on the phone. After he ran the VlN and license plate he said they don't match. He said l can call any towing company of my choice and they will impound it at the owners expense and for me just to notify the sheriff's office when l do.

Excellent. I was going to echo the "push it in the street" otherwise

I was afraid it was going to come to that too, would have hooked my truck up to it and dragged it over to the dirt road.

I nearly did this some years ago with the car the neighbor refused to remove after I bought the house from my inlaws.

    I’m kind of odd.
I would have probably just called the local sheriffs office and told them there was a car in my driveway that didn’t belong to me. If someone finds it, and it’s stolen, it wasn’t me. Just make a record I called.

Other wise, I probably would have left it sitting there for a few weeks.
I would have thought. maybe it broke down on someone and they left it there until they could fix it or tow it? But that just how I am. Nothing wrong with towing it.
I’ve just been through enough in my life, I try to look for “good reasons” why?
I would have felt real bad if the owner had shown up to get their car and I had it towed.

Again, not saying towing it was wrong.
I truth, it’s probably the best thing to do.
Now that you know the plates and VIN don’t match, it does become a bit suspect.

I haven't had it towed yet, waited a week to call the cops. You may have missed the earlier post of how it ended up here, some drugged up nut was trying to come inside of my house and then ended leaving his car.

Yeah, I missed that for sure.
That would have changed my opinion on what to do.
    Did you know the guy?

I have weird story similar to that, but I’ll have to post it later.
No time now. It’s a weird one.
