BX Built out of business?

Just read that on the Facebook GXOR page quoting a 3rd Gen 4Runner page. I've never ordered from them. But if it's true, and you have, make plans now on getting your money back.

 

Yeah there's a big mess of a thread on a 3rd gen 4runner group I follow about a bunch of people getting burned, guy just up and ghosted people on a ton of orders.

If you’re ordered through a credit card, you should be on the phone with them right now.

If you gave them a check or balance transfer through your bank, you’re never gonna see that money again.

Fuck Andrew and Daniel. They were out dicking around with people’s hard earned money, renting super cars and takin glam photos.

if you cant handle your current business volume, stop taking orders. I am shocked it took this long for them to fall.

Just so its on the home page of this thread. I had an absolutely horrible experience with BX Built and @Lucario Runner basically single handledly bailed me out of it

I placed an order on june 18th 2022, was quoted 22 weeks lead time, didnt get the lights until about the 28th week. After complaining to them several times a week for months.

every single time i contacted them, they’d feed me different bullshit. Daniel Hawkins was miserable to deal with.

 

It really just reinforces the need to be militant with one’s money when placing orders on items with lead times and ditching when things don’t smell right. Which is unfortunately safer for the buyer but also detrimental to legit companies and aftermarket support. We just saw the Shrockworks mess unfold too.

Yeah for something like that I'd used a CC.

Same thing as pelfrey and the mob mafia. Took money and ran.

 

They decided that instead of taking your money and giving you a bumper three years later, it’s better just to take the money and run.

still curious if they went out of business the only thing I saw was a facebook page was down but the webshite is still up. The owner has alwasy ghosted folks and is horrid at communication. Usually the site among other things would be be down. They made a post on 2/27 as well on IG. Not saying its a good sign and I always figured they would go down hill with avg 50 week turn around times.

 

same with my buddy and when he did get them they either did not work or had tons of flawed work on them. Surprised even they lasted this long and eoplpe still gave them business. the just launched trying to go after the LC market too.

 

Yah I see they Just deleted IG a few other things but site is up. It was working yesterday (IG)

yah they just nuked the IG business account too. Def done. god speed everyone. I was on the tail end of the Pelfrey shit show. Def make those CC inquiries. Most good cards will credit you since you never received anything.

Also, i pray for those who are still in limbo and havent gotten their product or money back. Nobody should have to deal with that. Make sure, that you file with your credit card companies as soon as possible. Paypal told me to literally pound sand when i filed a report at day 179/180 that was probably the most frustrating part.
