Would love to see pictures of your installation. I've got an '18 OR with the safety sensors up by the rear view mirror. I was afraid this wouldn't work.
    Thanks,

I ordered this mount on Wednesday. I installed it on Saturday. This is my 2nd Tacoma to get this mount. No cracking on the first. These aren’t head bolts or lug nuts, people. Spin the Allen wrench til it snugs and you’re done. Biggest risk at that point is when you let your 5’ tall gf drive your truck and she reaches to adjust the mirror...

Excellent customer service and excellent product.

Thanks. My '17 doesn't have the lane departure stuff, so it should fit on just like the 2nd gen.

Is the seller/OP still active? Was trying to order on the website but no “add to cart” button to purchase.

Not sure if they are still active here or not, but I just ordered a tech deck riser about 5 mins ago. I love my rear view riser.

Thanks! I just realized that last night. The website is a little bit unorthodox. :)

EDIT: Clearview risers called me after getting me email. At this point I will say a few things:
A- the product is a great design
B- I do NOT think there is anything wrong with the design
C- fantastic customer service, going beyond what most would.

Last Thursday I got my mirror riser. Yayy. I hated the mirror so low.
the mirror would not sit firmly in the riser, it would rattle due to poor fit of the dovetail and the screw could not tighten enough to eliminate this due to design of the riser. I had to tap the riser and use a longer screw to pull the two parts together, eliminating the purpose dovetail. No worries, I was OK with this.
I installed the riser and tightened the supplied set screw to the mirror anchor(?) attached to the windshield just enough so it did not move. I drove about 50 miles since then.
This morning getting out of the truck I noticed my windshield is cracked and delaminating! The anchor was pulling the glass apart. I think this is because the Clearview riser is thicker than the OEM base, allowing movement. The riser is .197/.200" deep where it goes over the anchor, the anchor is .195" thick.

Now I have a windshield to repair and a useless riser.

Damn. Man I'm sorry to hear this.

My first Tacoma was a 2011 AC. I mounted one of these with no issues. I'm now in a 2013 AC. I've mounted another one of these, 7 months, no issues. I wonder if there is a variation in the dimensions of the plate glued to the windshield? That would surprise me, but again, I'm 0 fer 2 now.

    Not much ..... yet
Just installed on my 09 Taco with Convenience package. I removed the whole panel with the sunglasses and overhead lights to make it easier. I was having trouble getting the cable tucked away. Removed the panel, undid some tape, and pulled it up easily. Also, I didn't want to cut the mirror clips so I just tucked them up under the roof panel too. Makes the roof panel bulge slightly but still a nice, fairly clean fit. VERY happy with this and wish I'd have had this 10 years ago.

Also, emailed the seller prior to purchase and received a response the next day (I sent my email fairly late in the evening). Excellent customer service. Now a proud owner of the mirror riser and the tech deck.

What Not to do... well followed their directions on the website and now I get to replace my windshield... cool
I would say do NOT yank The mirror out of the socket or you may end up like me. Watch a YouTube video.
I also bought the tech deck and the aluminum bar they send on the Xtra tough version needs a shit ton of grinding to make fit below/behind the clock bar...

    Our email is birddawg.industries@yahoo.com

Our mirror risers are back in stock.
This is our LAST run of product.
As of March 6th we have less than 75 Mirror Riser, and we are not going to be making any more.

Thanks for all the kind words about our products.

Also, every Mirror Riser comes with a note in RED letters telling you what NOT to do...or you may crack your
windshield. Max and I, have had our mirror risers on our truck for over 7 yr...on the roughest of 4WD roads
and never a cracked windshield. You can NOT move the mirror arm while on the mirror riser because that
ball is way too tight, and puts too much stress on the mirror button. You have to adjust that OFF the windshield.
The mirror CAN be moved all you want without any concern.

    Tom

Put my order in! Have the old school riser from that Turtle user on here, circa 2012. Figured I may as well grab one if its the last run. I haven't received an email notification, should I be looking for confirmation, or will you shoot an email once item is shipped?
