I know it's not the right season but I think I need a good Festivus Airing of Grievances.

    Hells to the yeah!
2Pc 7'0 rod huh? :D Any particular reason you went with 2pc over single?
Yeah! Stradic!!! they will last forever with a little PM, and if the bearings or drag ever go out, unless they have changed them, they are totally rebuildable and even upgradable.

I am a bitch about quality. (still think my '95.5 taco was twice the truck of the present gen3 I own) BUT... a name does not equal quality, and I love to sleeper quality gear. I fished with budget gear for years and years. But I did find out first hand that a really high end quality rod will land 5 more fish than the Wally world equivalent. The nicer rod blanks will allow you to feel light lipped fish that the cheaper rod would have never allowed you to know were even there. obviously this is when fishing sit and wait type bait or slow bottom retrieve.
I can argue both ways. but it should be mentioned there is actually some benefit to higher end gear other than the look what I got factor.
StCroix has been unwavering top tier gear for years. Anyone who owns one will likely smile and gladly tell you about it if you ask. hahaha.

In person interview went very well. That was interview #3. Next week I have to meet with 2 folks from the mothership in Atlanta. An awful lot of hoops to jump through…

The pew pew company interviewing process stopped - my choosing. Too much travel for me. Mexico and west Texas every other month. I don’t like to climb into sewer pipes with wings. Had a REALLY bad flight and am now scared shitless to fly.

Ok, so this is in the category f ‘please teach your children where you live’….
Wife works in a 3/4 grade classroom that does a ‘mystery Skype’ geography guessing game with other classes around the country…we’re in NH… todays other class was in Wisconsin.
1st question from our class ‘“are you east of the Mississippi River?”
Wisconsin answer….after much discussion from the students….No…

so teacher on our end sidebars to other teacher in Wisconsin, and says, did they understand our class was asking if they are asking “are you EAST of the Mississippi?”……teacher answers NO….

I went to high school with kids from Cleveland. Back then some weren't to bright. I see things haven't changed much.
