What is it with jerks and with body lift

Discussion in 'Texas' started by gitacotrd, Mar 6, 2023.

?

Thoughts on body lift

  1. It’s directly related to gravel munchers

  2. Only for people from Texas

  3. Equals unequal manhood to ego syndrome

  4. Is easily confused with spacer lifts but ok

I wouldn’t say truck pictured has body lift maybe lifted a little, but could definitely use a set of mud flaps.
Mine has more lift than truck shown so I’m an asshole I guess but I run mud flaps.
My tires are also not sticking out of wheel wells. We have laws here about this and mine are in spec.

Let’s just be honest, fender flares mostly are to prevent friendly fire.

I found that out when I had a half inch rock go up my shorts and bruise the shit out of my ball sack when I was riding around in a 40 series with the doors off in my teenage years.

The big brush/gravel trucks like this around where I live have a huge 'disclaimer' saying stay back 300ft, we aren't responsible for shit . . . that seems to be their out for not properly securing their loads..

I either pass em or stay way, way back -

Yep. I've been behind them getting pelted by shit and thought hey, I could avoid this by simply slowing down, or speeding up and passing. I usually choose to pass them.

Had you considered getting pelted then complaining to strangers and threatening to involve a lawyer and law enforcement (potentially)?

 Hey! Now that you mention it that’s a great idea. I was driving a few weeks ago and a rock (or something) got thrown from the car in front of me (I guess it was them, no clue) and made a nice dime size crack in my windshield. :annoyed:

I thought about getting mad, doing all that and calling the FBI. But then I remembered that shit happens and life still goes on. :burnrubber:

What are you driving? Is it a Tesla? Teslas should be out in front, other vehicles shouldn't even be cathching up or passing.

Could be a Corolla hybrid HB. I have never seen one in yellow, but I vaguely recall a Toyota Corolla commercial that often aired in Spanish featuring a yellow Corolla.

If I saw that driving down the road, I wouldn't want to be anywhere near it, much less driving behind it for long enough to get gravel kicked up at me...

When I am in my car, I pass em - very quickly
When I am in the truck, I usually just stay back
