I bought a 2023 Tacoma Feb 7, it was already coming down the line and i was told it would be here tomorrow 3/6. i contacted my salesman yesterday to confirm its arrived and he said its on "delivery Hold @ port" and wasnt sure why?? all tacomas apparently

can anyone shed some light on why its on hold, and if it happened to anyone else how long it took to get delivered to local dealer from port

    THANKS!

I bought one at the beginning of February and I was told it would be here at the beginning of April and I got a call on Thursday saying it would be here Friday or Saturday ready for pickup Monday or Tuesday. We’ll see if I get any other information between now and then.

    Well welcome for starters
you don't say where you're located, different regions have different issues
could be manufacturing delay problem but that should hit all regions
transport problem ether brake down or weather delay
    transportation accident, damaged in shipping
Port is out of parts that they need to put on so it is held until they can get the parts (can totally see the SE doing this for their junk)

Well, no trucks are built in the US (the assembly line is in Mexico. was So Cal, then Texes, now Mexico)
Now the Port may be in SD (IDK) where the finishing touches are put on (steps and so on)

Everything that comes in through the port has to get cleared through customs first.

Thanks! I’ve never owned a brand new vehicle before. Glad it’s going to be a Tacoma. And I waited one month.

I put my deposit down at the beginning of February. They told me it would be here at the beginning of April so it’s a month early!
