    Just got off of the phone with rough country. They are $30 a piece for a replacement ball joint. I figured I might as well order two. After I gave him all my information and the call was almost over I asked him politely just for curiosity's sake why that couldn't have been done without a phone call. He just said they aren't available on the website. I said I understand but when I've had to get special parts from other companies they just sent me a Paypal invoice. He responded yeah they're just not available online. Lol! I know I'm probably fixating on this too much but it's just so strange in the year 2023 that not only can something not be taken care of without using a phone, but any attempts to find out why are quickly shut down with minimal interest in a friendly and informational answer.

    Just because of how lackluster dealing with them has been, I'm half tempted to put in the work and see if I can identify a suitable replacement that is available online and then spread the word far and wide lol

    I can tell you what killed it for me.
    Customers. Used to be a few complainers out of ten, now it's more like a few respectable people out of ten.
    In the last three years CS has gone to shit, I agree, but it's not all on the companies either.
    As a Asst. Parts Manager I can tell you, if they don't come with a decent attitude or respect I give it right back.
    That being said, if someone comes to me for help and is grateful for the help, I am more than happy to assist them as
    much as I can. Sucks that it has come to this though....

    Yeah, idk if maybe they get the question a lot and they're sick of hearing it or what the deal is but there was literally zero attempt at friendliness throughout the entire process whether it be the person I texted or the guy on the phone.

    Nah. I'm not a fan of stuff on my roof. Too high up both in the sense that when I'm on tight back roads branches are hitting everything up there and also too high in the sense that accessing the stuff that's way up there is a pain. Also don't like added noise and worse gas mileage from stuff up top.
