Need advice on traction control codes

    You have too many things at once. It's a wiring/comms issue on the can bus. Steering angle and yaw rate/lat accel come from two entirely different units to the skid control ecu via the can bus. Start with the connections/wiring at the skid control ecu and work back from there.

    Where are the ecus located?

    I did the reset and re calibration thing as the other guy posted and the skid light went away and drove home from work and back to work today and it hasn't came back on. When I erased the codes with my scanner when it first came on the light came back within 15 minutes of driving.

    Well hopefully that's all you need to do.

    I might've misspoke, as I was thinking of the skid control ecu in the 3rd gens. Since I don't have a 2nd gen factory manual I do not know what/which specific ecu handles the traction control, VSC, and ABS functions in the 2nd gen trucks but there's one that definitely does. It may just be the ABS ecu.
