Posted this on ‘All Things Bikes and Tacos…’ thread and thought that I would post it here too. Looking to sell my Trek Madone 5.2 size 50 with 10spd Shimano Ultegra, Reynolds carbon wheels, Ritchey WCS bar and stem and Time pedals. I haven’t posted in the B/S/T forum because I’m not sure what I could get for it, so thought I’d start here in case someone is looking or knows someone looking to get into cycling. I don’t ride it anymore and trying to find a good home for it.

My old road bike that I regret selling on a daily basis and what I am riding now. The versatility of the gravel bike is nice but it sure is slow on the road. I may need to get another wheelset soon with dedicated road tires.pwBGS8AOkPU0eX2GtmPKYK9aok0fFcHV-rA1MML6R6M-2048x1536.jpg pYTukkEQe547gq1ZJOILl1qVKY4Zl_8bqNuvkguYmLI-2048x1536.jpg

That RB1 is sick. I love to see the old bikes with the "new" stuff on them. Still can't deal with old handlebars though. Ha.

Campy mechanical gets a hell yeah from me too. I rode Campy only for nearly two decades. Now... I only have it on my Cannondale which lives on my trainer permanently.

I need to find something "new" to put some of the Campy I have leftover. I have two sets of Centaur 10spd and a Chorus 10spd just laying around.

The old Campy 10v lever shape might be my favorite aesthetically of any group ever

Get those, you won't regret it. The only problem is of all the possible colors out there, they only make them in four. I wish that I had bought four pairs of blue when I found them. BTW, I wouldn't recommend white. Not when you're dealing with oil & grease.

Thinking about upgrading if I could get a Trek Madone for 4-5K as would love to get a 8-10k superbike used for way cheaper. current riding a 2002ish Trek 5900 I believe. Was given it by my girlfriend's dad and it used to be covered in USPS decals when Lance was riding for them, then they got scrapped off when you know...... Still runs great and light as hell but want something newer with disc brakes and di2 looks super sweet. Also in love with the Madone's frame and also my girlfriend's dad have a sweet Madone in my size...... Problem is I am looking for a 60cm frame and there's about ten available across pinkbike/ebay/pro's closet.

I'd just slap some new wheels and Di2 on that thing and let it rip.

Disc brakes are fine but not worth upgrading too unless you have big mountain descents and/or need more clearance for tires.

Likely limited to a 25c tire on the front, at least, so that may be a hinderence.

I thought about it, would probably be almost a thousand bucks and don't think the bike is worth the cost. Have to see if all the talk about bikes going to be dirt cheap this year comes true and already seeing some good deals such as this one for 1500 off already. https://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/3507690/
Would love to give that bike to my girlfriend too, if I got a new bike.

I ended up with another road bike. New to me at least, couldn't pass on the deal. Now time to try and get some fitness.20230305_111931.jpg

    Looks fast!

How big is that chainring? 54? Looks huge!

Only thing I think could help how cool that looks is pulling at least 4 out of the 6 decals on each wheel off... I'd probably scrape all 6 or just leave one of the little M's on there. It would look way cleaner IMO

New bike came in today, Trek Madone SLR7 paint looks even better in person as the blue becomes brighter in the light. In love with the no cables look and can't wait to sink hours in on the trainer until the snow melt and the damn road salt goes away.
