Sorry, I was meaning the specific bungie section. My ROAM tent billows like a parachute when I close it, so I'm willing to try anything to help.

 

Some of the tents have D-rings on the inside sidewalls. Run an elastic cord between them & it will pull the sides in as you drop the tent.

If you don't have the rings you could get two spring clothes pins, slip them to the sides with some elastic cord running one to the other.

You're supposed to do them diagonally?! I had just run them horizontally, maybe that's part of the problem.

 

How did the x-cover get damaged? I'll have to check and see if the skirt will fit the 1.0, min could use a refresh before I sell it this spring.

Bungees and leaving a window open to vent the air as it closes.

 

Excellent. Thx. It does look like the height I wanted. However, I went ahead and pulled the trigger on a bed rack from Victory 4x4.

 

I think it is the 1.0. I believe I was mistaken. It's the maroon one. I left an air mattress closed in the tent and drove to altitude. It expanded and crushed the honeycomb in the "top" piece. Now it's all squishy and no longer rigid.

 

Well.. the wheels and tires will be scooby... they weren't necessary (Yah I am that guy, saying that thing!)

 

Definitely wasn't necessary, but going to look way better lol.

for those running a late model CVT pioneer awning
can you tell me if the fittings at the ends of the horizontal (swing-out) & vertical support poles are metal or plastic?
this is a pic of a roam awning which appears to be metal

I believe everything there is metal. I will be using mine Saturday I can confirm.

Has anyone figured out a fast way to remove the air from an air mattress other than a combination of folding, rolling and applying body weight?

I’ve tried the Bauer inflator/deflator and that was no bueno.

 

Nope. The best ones are the ones with the large valve for deflation. The deflators seem to be really slow, but are nice to suck it down to nothing once you get close.

 

Sorry I lead you astray. What happened with the Bauer? Didn't move enough air, or wouldn't plug in to your mattress valves?

 

Ordered mine so I'll let you know in a few months
