Fedex freight delivered my rtt - this was a couple years ago. Should have refused delivery- poor decision on my part.

Fedex wouldn’t do a thing to remedy it. Roam worked with me and sent me a spare tent shell.

Fedex freight also messed up my buddies rtt- put a fork from a forklift through the box and punctured the pvc bottom of his tent.

    Aaaaaand here's another one!

So I added a Haynes manual to my last Rock Auto order for stepdaughter's Kia, replaced all rotors and pads this weekend but manual wasn't supposed to arrive until today. Tracking says "delivered to neighbor as requested." I never made this request. WHICH FN NEIGHBOR?

I've already annoyed one neighbor, nope no package, spent an hour on the phone, OF COURSE they can't say which neighbor it was supposedly left with. She did confirm that the recipient has to make that request and Rock Auto couldn't have done it. Which I did not. :-\

She submitted a service request, then ended the conversation with "well that status may not really mean it was left with a neighbor, it might be delivered tomorrow."

I really don't need this crap in my life right now LOL

Makes me real hesitant to send my state taxes given the perfect record USPS has

USPS has been good to me as far back as I can remember. It's been FedEx that has sucked and how they remain in business dumbfounds me.

For any government correspondence and/or "check is in the mail", I 100% send it certified + return receipt. I got burned once when a small-town municipality claimed they never got my teenage traffic infraction payment, and lo and behold, a state trooper was there to greet me when I renewed my license some years later. :anonymous::anonymous:

From then on, I made sure that there were kept records of who got what and when.

lol "spread the pain" love it. I don't have a picture anymore but I had to send it to our ops/supply chain team. Delivery driver just left a pile of boxes (15-20 ish, BIG stuff) on the receiving dock which was about 1' deep before the door when closed. It was there overnight, etc etc just because they decided "yeah we can just drop this here"

This was stuff going into airplanes. Humidity sensitive stuff, etc. I sent the picture to my boss with something along the lines of "I don't know if this is worth sending to anyone, so I'm just going to send it to you, good luck" - apparently it was a BIT of a shitstorm.

Signature required? NAH just drop it outside bro, it's fine. Also safety concern, shit was leaning on the door so when it opened, here comes johnny!

I've used that with my landlord years ago. "Hey rent check wasn't delivered"

"Listen, I believe you, you're a good dude, but here's it being sent by the bank. I can cancel that, but it'll be a couple days before the next one goes" (he actually was a good dude, as far as landlords go, he was an owner tenant, rare to find in Providence nowadays, but we high-tailed it out of there with super lucky timing in 2017)

Worked for USPS for a couple of years after the military and bailed. Can confirm, it sucks. The distribution and uppers as a whole are shit and they’re laughably understaffed and ran us subs ragged for shit pay and no bennies (then wonder why they cant keep anyone).
I bounced around about 16 routes with 700+ customers each in three towns.. math.. something like 11k individual names/forwards/holds/etc to memorize, sort, and deliver. It blew a giant dong.
We busted our asses to get packages to our customers and many of us do really give a shit though fwiw. Hell if I had packages waiting for next day when I got back to the PO id scan and drop them off on my way home for people so theyd have them a day early.

I don’t know why they feel the need to give the packages a world-tour though and their tracking is dumb.

My Dad was a USPS letter carrier for 14 years ... prior to that time spent 28 years in the Air Force ... he was a simple and honest man ...

I "Priority Mailed" a box of home-grown oranges across town to a good friend last year ... USPS delivery was expected in two days ... I tracked the package and found out it went outside of California to of all places Florida and back to California ... the scenic route apparently ... lol ...

UPS (United Parcel Service) offers similar questionable service ... ordered large industrial tarps and found out it was double boxed for some strange reason ... Inside original mailing box was wet and torn ... tarps had foreign yellow paint ... who knows what happened ... observed the UPS guy sprinting away once delivery was made ... running away from trouble ... lol ...

Nah, I worked for UPS for a while. Thats just the way they roll. If you aren't running like a sled dog, they ride with you to find out why you're slacking.
