Finally got around to taking and uploading some pics post frame replacement and wheels and tire upgrade.
I also sprayed the new frame down with some surface shield to see how it holds up seeing as everything I have been reading about it has been good. And it's supposed to last upto 2 years so we will see.
Funny story was out at the beach with the wife this last weekend and saw a newer "tacoma sport" get stuck in the sand some 20 somthing was driving. And it didn't have 4 wheel drive. I thought that was strange as someone spent some money to change the hood and everything else that goes with a sport to make it look that way. Or is Toyota doing a sport appearance package. Don't know but it was a first for me.20230305_151648.jpg 20230305_151705.jpg 20230305_151648.jpg 20230228_144737.jpg

    Nice truck! Are those Wildpeaks?

Your comment reminded me of the 2WD Off Road I saw at Port Aransas last summer having some issues in the loose sand.

I said supposed to last I didn't say I wasn't going to monitor and adrldress any short comings in the coating if and when I find them:boink:. And a product that says it can last up to 2 years doesn't mean that's what it will obviously depending on environment and exposed washing.

    Yes they are wildpeaks.
I was telling the kid to put it in 4wd.:annoyed: idiots if you know you don't have it why take your vehicle to where it's going to get stuck. This was just past the sticks just north of JP Luby.

I still love the Pyrite Mica color! Some of the new colors look sharp too but Pyrite is hard to beat IMHO!

Just from the little bit that is showing the tow hitch looks like maybe it could use some attention & TLC.

It definitely did need some attention and I chipped off as much of the black powder coating or paint that was on it an scrubbed all the loose stuff off and coated it as well so we will see how it does.
