Ya, and that the owner had some CEL issues with his evap, but it's all taken care of now. I've been in contact comm with him over his maintenance of it. It's a car I would buy myself if I didn't already have too many

If that's her only concern and she digs it besides that then it seems like a good go. I don't know how to convince someone though haha.
Would paying a few bucks to have a shop give it the thumbs up after a PPI make her feel better?

Post a pic if you have one. I'd check for oil sludging if it has the 3.0. Also check for knock sensor codes lol. Also, I'd make sure it stays at a reasonable temp on the highway with an OBD2 reader, and bring a block tester kit to look for hydrocarbons in the coolant. A PPI at a shop might also be worth it.

 

Idk if she digs it is the problem though lol. She keeps saying she wants "new technology". I'm like wtf do you think it doesn't have that your base level Nissan Versa also doesn't have??

It's eliminated it short term but it would take back to back years of this kind of rain/snowfall to get rid of the long term drought.

Oh lol. Well shit, yeah, if she wants to up her tech then '98 isn't the way. But also all that new tech is a PITA. People think they want it but it's annoying. Safety features like newer/more airbags I get. Lane assist, no. Beeping at you over everything, no. More screens, no. Even my mom hates that stuff and she's over 70 now.
Tell her it'll all be more $$ when it breaks haha.

At least the late model Toyotas don’t get too crazy with all the gadgets and gizmos. My gfs 2013 Avalon is still pretty basic.

Lmao no. At least it’s only 3 years, and it only has 75k miles (64k when she bought it) with a really good service history.
