Though I must disagree slightly. While I count my lucky stars to have been born in this great country, I work 60 hours a week for the roof, the food, and my taco, those things didnt come to me on their own.

 

if the mayans are right or a brown dwarf comes through the solar system, or whatever, then so be it. I have a great life, a good woman, my K9 and my truck. I keep enough to bug out then start someplace new. If the good Lord wants to call me home, that'd be awesome.

 

If I remember correctly the planets will align. there will also be a full solar eclipse and venus will pass over the sun in the same month(which is possibly the rarest occurance to the myans we will see as humans). which both events will only be able to be seen from robinsue crusoe lsland where they just found a monument the mayans built on a cliff. Obviously these guys had an amazing understanding of the universe that even we today havent figured out near as much as they knew. I wouldnt be suprised if a significant celestial event happened. Now will it affect us in any way other than something pretty to see in the sky im not sure.

I personally can not wait till dec 21st 2012. All of the cultists and end of the world freaks will be selling all of their stuff and blowing all of their life savings "living it up" and doing everything and buying everything they have ever wanted. Then when all of them realize they made the biggest financial mistake of their lives and the world DOESENT end, the U.S. economy will have the biggest boost in 100 years and our economy will absolutly flourish!
