Ya I'm the same way lol, at the end of the day as long as it gets good mileage and has Bluetooth I think she'll be happy enough

Is 600 a month for 3 years a really crazy car payment or something? She did pay $18,900 which was probably an overpay, but it was April 2022 at the height of the car market.

@treyus30 the oil could sometimes sludge up on those when they were driven for short trips and/or they skimped on the oil changes. The only other issues I know of are knock sensors and maybe occasional coolant leaks in the valley? Idk, the typical 5VZ stuff applies AFAIK but I could be wrong.

18,900 for an Avalon that was nearly a decade old is a lot, I'm going to guess she had crap credit or no down payment with that monthly. That's the monthly I'd expect for a 3-4 year old Mercedes CLK300

That thing brings back some late 90s/early 00s memories. Especially with the tint.

Yea it did have full service records and fairly low miles. Pretty sure it was grandma owned or something. But yea I think she’d take a loss selling it now that the market has gone down. It was also from a Toyota dealer, so it is what it is I guess.

Props to her for at least taking the shorter term at least, it'll be all yours before long, regardless of how upside down it is.

@treyus30 Higher percentage tint and they instantly look better IMO. A little less, "How much for an ounce?"

I think it’ll last. We’re just debating whether to do a trans flush at 75k, maybe the diffs too.

Don't tempt fate, follow the procedure to drain and fill, a well maintained trans never needs a flush

Isn't there some sort of forum for small time inner city drug dealers you could post this on.
