So my neighbor is cool as hell.

He has 4 vehicles, but never parks in front of my house after the one time he did and I told him not to.

He even informs his guests not to do so as well, as I told one guy he can wait until I'm done (had blocked him in).

Modern, black Infiniti Q50 was in my spot so I blocked it in. Few minutes later it left...how?

She ended up backing into my front bumper and left anyway :rofl::rofl:

My Coastal bumper is right in line with her taillights so she nicked that or the painted part in between.

Neighbors parking in front of the house has got to be the most annoying thing about home ownership. Its not a problem where Im at, but my parents have fought their shithead neighbors over it for going on 20 years. They have a perfectly good 2 car garage that could atleast get 2 of their 5ish cars out of the way, but nope its full of crap you never see them use.

    :annoyed:

It's so annoying, and like I said my neighbor is good about it. His brother had come by his house a few days ago and while he waited, he even apologized about his daughter running across the sidewalk over to my side.

Told him it's alright, that's what kids do (she was maybe 3-4?). But he knew already not to park in front of my house and I appreciated that, guess my neighbor forewarned him cause he had his car in front of his brother's driveway

But this black Infiniti has parked there a few times and it's gone before with the quickness.

In our neighborhood where maybe only 3 houses have driveways, street parking etiquette is a lawless frontier

Its pretty well assumed that if parking is plentiful then you park in front of your own place, but if parking gets tight then all bets are off

There's a long stretch (directly across my neighbor) where there's no house since it's another house's fence. Most his guests park there aside from this one vehicle.

I'm on the kind of street where people park outfront all they want, I don't really care. I'm one of the only houses with a back courtyard and a shop building plus a long driveway.

The only time I get annoyed is when someone parks their vehicle in front of our house and leaves it there for a few days or more. Thats the one good thing about street sweeping regulations, forces those people to move their cars around.

I really only get super pissed though when someone decides to try and fit in a spot not big enough for their car and blocks part of our driveway. That's a good way to end up with rocks in your valve stems

Yeah, except when it isn't got fined a lot of times by the HOA at the Cheney house for street parking overnight... never paid em, never will. HOA crap wasn't in any of our names anyway

I've got a framed letter with a picture of my Land Cruiser violating the HOA rules in Mesa somewhere... Our driveway (which didn't touch any other houses because of the way the grading was done) was framed with rocks on either side and I would park the LC with one side of the tires in the rocks (just the tires, didn't hang more of the LC off the driveway) so my roommate could pass by when he left for work. They fined me $15 per each occurrence, the property management company whos name it was in went under... never paid. The lady that walked by everyday to look for shit was a bitch too, and was nosy, she walked up the driveway a few times and I told her to leave or I'd have her trespassed.

I asked them to confirm that the registered owners of cars that caused those letters were residents in the HOA and would know the bylaws. Never heard back. Other things have happened since then and my truck usually lives on the street these days and we don't get letters.

But the fact that people are legally parked on a public street (not abandoned of course) shouldnt be of any concern to a homeowner. It's a weird psychological thing where home owners think they own the street too :notsure:

Yeah, never bothered me. If I couldn't park everything in my driveway then its up to chance what spots in the street I get... not a problem. My own damn fault for having more junk than I have space for. Just as long as I can park on the street without being fined, that's the only thing that ticks me off. Shoeing people from the public street in front of your house is just entitlement.
