Oh shit it did snap! A least it's showing. I put a towel over the shaft, doubled up or more, and put a vice wrench on it. Used another smaller vice wrench on the exposed screw

This guy on ebay sells a super beefy pulley puller for the Magnuson, also has a very similar install tool to URD, but it's a lot beefier also. You can see him use it in the vid with the ad. The Tundra and taco magy both have the same threads in the pulley shaft

Real answer is probably trade secret but I would guess an issue with the valve seats.

Interesting; Unless there were a manufacturing defect in the valves, I think @PhoS is probably right. Valves being directly subject to the heat of combustion, really are only saved from heat destruction, by transmitting that heat through solid contact with the valve seat; which is indirectly cooled by engine coolant of the head. (very little heat is dissipated through the stem and guide). Improper valve seat, grind or tight valve adjustment, reduce contact area of valve to seat or valve to head; dramatically decreasing valve cooling; can quickly cause heat damage to a valve. Much more common to exhaust valves, since those valves see hot gasses on both sides of the valve. The tsb does not seem to hint which of the valves is the common problem.

Any of my supercharged brothers live in Nashville? I'm traveling there May 1-4 and we could meet up and discuss truck things...

Larger MAF housing/Straightener to extend the measurable range of the MAF. Even a pulley'd Maggy Tundra will move enough air to max out the MAF in stock airbox.

It is on the "hot" side. It's a blow-through setup.

I finally replaced my 2.5" exhaust with a 3". It's a nice note, I will be sending sound clips soon.

This is surprising to me: in the winter I lose a couple of pounds of boost - didn't think much of it, kind of makes sense with the denser air, etc. But after I put this on I picked back up those couple of pounds! Not sure how that all would work thermodynamically, but that's a cool story if I does say so myself.

How do you like that helmholtz resonator?

Do you find your Helmholtz resonator chamber effective?

Minorly. It has resonant frequency ranges at various points in the band - e.g. for about 400rpm centered on the 2200rpm range and again further up. Unfortunately it's pretty droney at the speed limit on highways (I always drive the speed limit because I'm an old man who wants to save his money and demerit points), so I am thinking of making it adjustable so I can tune it to the right frequency.

Question then for you guys actually, would a longer or shorter one be better for 2500-ish RPM?
