The first thing you need to do is go buy a pair of pants with deep pocket.
Seriously, we can’t offer any suggestions with out knowing a budget.

    Are you married?
If so, you won’t be long.
If not, you won’t be for a long time.

You are going to need lots of time and money.
    Dare I mention Long Travel?

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Then live and learn like the rest of us did.

Lots of good information out there on building these type of vehicles.

    Do your research .

If your building a real race Truck start looking for sponsors.

Read all the rules for the different classes.

Look into the specs for the roll cage it sucks to fail the safety inspection.

Racing means lots of spare parts !

    Good Luck !

For the sake of not getting screwed, I suggest you do some research and find some examples of what you want, and then ask questions based on that. Otherwise you’re going to get answers from all over the map.

1st post ever was this one.
On a scale of 1-10, the seriousness of this threads sits at a 3

x2 Perhaps another one that wants all the research done .

If the answer were not to his liking ask some place else.

I can't fault anyone for having a daydream.

Voice that out loud, however, and you learn real quick why everyone doesn't drive their racecar-superyacht to school.

How do you make $1 million dollars racing?

Start with $2 million, you'll be down to a million pretty quick!

Why not head over to the builds section and check out what others have done? Something will catch your eye, start reading and you’ll have a great jumping off point to start putting together a list of ideas.
