All newer phones will have C to C cables; one to the phone port, the other to the wall outlet brick.

You can do it but you need to make sure the outlet is USB-C Power Delivery (USB PD). Check the input requirements for your laptop to make sure you get enough wattage on the new outlet.

Bingo. I have one of these and haven't had to mod anything. And if I switch vehicles or rent a car when flying somewhere I can take it with me.

Anyone ever replace this with a USB-C one and still use Apple CarPlay. 5850F766-3418-4ED8-ABAA-1ECD2E398572.jpg96AC806E-5CA9-4A5C-91CE-5D96B7B9D01F.jpg

This is one thing I appreciate about my wife's 2022 Nissan Pathfinder... USB-C port up front and also one in the rear for the the kids, along with your standard usb-a ports.

I just use the USB-C port in the console. Simple and out of the way.

The one on the console is a USB-A not USB-C. Unless I’m missing something

My 2021 does as well. I assume OP's 2021 would also have one.

You search the mod-list, but don't find anything of interest.
Does anyone have part numbers for this? Pictures of the plug/connections under the center console (backside of the usb-C/A from vehicle). Curious how readily available these would be for an OEM+ upgrade on older models.

I believe it's this part, I'm not near my Taco but from memory this seems right: 85532-08050

If you are looking for the one with the cover, the part number is 85532-08040

I'm wondering, are these also data ports or just charging? Because their connection in the back only looks to be a 2 pin, which would usually mean charging only.
