Mine also rattles when the AC kicks on, other than that seems to be fine>

Any idea what ETA on delivery for order placed 2/19/23 ?

I’ve had my shields installed for 6 weeks now and they’ve been great. No rattles at all.

I ordered mine on Dec 11th and it took until late January before mine were delivered. I’m glad that I bought them as they’re one of the most attractive and effective solutions on the market. However the folks at CaliRaised LED are drowning in their success with these and pissing people off with the lack of communication. My experience was having to pack my patience. If you find an authorized reseller that has them actually in-stock, then I’d recomend that. Otherwise I’d just plan for about 6 or 7 weeks for delivery and little to no communication unless you pester them.

I’m happy with the product, but my experience dealing with them on commucation makes me seriously hessitate when buying anything else from CaliRaised LED.

As I mentioned a few pages back...

I painted mine with High Temp Ceramic paint before installing them. Nearly two months after installing and lots of trail driving, they're looking great and no rattles.

 

I get it. Customer Service is expensive. But it would be easy for them to post on the website what order batches are shipping, just to keep buyers in the loop.

 

4X4 or 2 wheel drive?

It seems that the 2 wheel drive version orders aren't experiencing the rattle.

(Sigh) Yep.

On the bright side, I don't hear any rattles from the shields I don't have on my 4 cylinder. That's a plus.

 

After putting mine on just wondering why they attach to the back of the center member? Why not the front?

If your saving people from taking the bolts out and dropping the support, just do one bolt at a time. It seems it would be alot easier to install and use less material in making them. All I can think is a large majority of people may be too dumb to take one bolt out at a time and end up dropping their transmission on their faces. But whatever, they probably deserved it. Just use your head and swap the bolt around one at time. Easy peasy.

For others that installed these already, did you think the same thing?

Other than that the design is great.

 

I just added some additional washers to give some additional space, so far so good.

 

Received a shipping confirmation (at least the label was created) from Caliraisedled this morning.

Order placed January 31st. Received confirmation/receipt and CC charged same day.
Shipping confirmation (via FedEx) shows it should be delivered next Wednesday March 15th.

Will post back when they arrive!

 

So what are you thoughts on installing them? Are you going to try extra washers from the start or just install and see what happens?

There is also the post about bending it (post #339/page 17), but that one has me confused. Although @overlimit tried to explain it, it still seems it would push it closer to the cat. I should have mine by end of day today, so maybe it will make more sense when I have them in hand.

 

I was planning on installing them per the directions and see how close that one side comes to the cat. Based on a recent post or two it sounds like they changed the curvature slightly so we both may be good to go.

OTOH if it's touching the cat, that's a no-go for me and I'd probably "shim" it with washers like others have done. But if it looks like there's enough space between the shield and the cat for both to move independently without touching I'll just button it up and see how it goes. Planning on taking and posting photos.

Yeah, that sounds like a good plan. Mine arrived an hour or so ago, planning on doing it this weekend. Will for sure let you know how it goes on my end.

 

Oh man. I forgot that I ordered these. I have been waiting three or four weeks for mine. I wonder if it's too late to cancel my order?

 

I received my Cali raised order on Monday after a 3 month wait. Put them on today, easy installation. They fit and look good

just for reference, purchased 12/2/22 for store pick up. Received email 3/1/23 order was ready for pick up but was out of town so order was picked up 3/6/23. I think orders being directly shipped to customers had shorter lead times.

 

Congrats! Nothing here yet 1/30.

EDIT - Just got a an email "Your shipping label and pick ticket have been made."

 

At 9AM this morning, my next door neighbor had a visit from some low life punks. The stole the cat off his Dodge diesel pick-up.

I placed my order 15 minutes after I found out. I postponed long enough!
