Good start to the next blizzard! The neighbors roof slid and took out the deck.

 

About every other week i'll cut 1/4" Are you running a shielded cutting tip or standard?

 

I have a can I should try this on lol

 

I'll try it on one of my spray paint cans once it runs out of pressure for sure.

 

For me it's close to once a week and only a few parts at a time.

I run a standard tip, 1.1 which is meant for 60 amps or so.



I hate that I ran that little rubber shield/funnel for a bit. It was great at eliminating any and all splash up towards the Z-axis but it splashed all over the torch itself.



I've wiped it significantly and made sure air was still coming out as it should.

Here are 4 sides of a bracket.









The part that has no bevel is closest to the gantry tube whereas the part with a bevel is the farthest.

This tells me the gantry tube needs to be adjusted to make up for how the work piece sits on the slats. It's much less noticeable on thinner material and even less if the part being cut out is rather small.



I thought about making a run of these parts with THC off but have yet to do so.

Even then, dross is minimal (comes right off with your finger) and the holes are nice and clean.

I'll let @Blue92 chime in if he sees any bevel in his piece at all. I cut him a new sign at about 10.5" tall and 22" wide.

 

We picked up a pizza oven at Xmas and have done some phenomenal home made pizza, on of my favorites is pickle pizza. That said we keep these around in the freezer as they are just a lot of taste for the money and ease.

 

Sorry to see that Marlin Czajkowski, founder of Marlin Crawler passed away. He was certainly a pioneer of Toyota offroad support and innovation.

 

These carbs are great. Very nice crust.
