Death Valley Off-Road Adventures

It looked buried and Saline Valley Rd was closed.

 

Not bad really. I think they were supposed to be in the, upper 30s, but it felt warmer.

 

It's a no go right now due to snow depth. There's a photo out there of a land cruiser buried up to the windows.

 

I need to see this photo!

Yeah, I'm already looking into some alternate plan to the current plan, which already was an alternate plan.

 

Check 395. It's closed in almost all of Inyo county.

 

Damn. Closed from basically Inyokern to Bishop.

Any more rain and towns might start floating away.

 

Olancha and Independence wouldn't even be missed. lol

Plenty of decrepit shacks to choose from. And very few can be worse than that sad example of a building lol

And this was also near Hunter mountain turnoff. Vehicle (capable lifted 4x4) had to retreat back because the snow was too deep.

 

At this pace, Matt’s off road recovery should open a satellite office in the Sierra’s.
