Put an AAL in my Dakars today and got way more lift out of them than I was expecting. Close to 3 inches.

Replaced my headlights and side markers today. Long overdue. Took less than an hour.

step 1: sand off the chrome trim (gross!) and paint it matte black

Nice rig OP, love the Wildernest! A friend of mine had one on his 93(?), had to do some suspension work on it due to the extra weight. They are nice, but a bit heavy.
Really like the bike rack. Looking for options to haul mine Process 153 for a trip to Moab and the Swell in a couple years, I like the vertical offset. How much offset does that one give you? I have a Yakima Hold Up right now.

Looks good with the AAL, you will see it settle somewhat in a couple months or so. Mine settles out to be almost level, maybe a touch of bro lean with a loaded trailer, and still maintains some rake empty(I usually carry 200#+ in the back along with about 100#+tools and gear behind the seat on road trips). Now with a trailer and the first couple put in loads going out to work it definitely is not amused

An example of a put in load (box trailer is out of frame) and why I upgraded to load range E tires.

Looks good! Yeah, the bike rack is great. I've used several others and 1Up is definitely my favorite and the most sturdy. It only sticks out a few inches behind the hitch receiver before you get to the angled/raised part. The bike trays themselves sit just below the height of the tailgate. So, I can open the tailgate with the rack on without bikes. I've dragged it across rock a few times and it has held up great.

Did you put the roof rack on the cap? Any tips for doing that?

Got new tires. Costco had a sale last week. BFG K02s. Same size. Really like them so far, they're very quiet.

I sold the camper last week and the truck yesterday. So I suppose this is the end of this build thread. I'll have another one soon though it may be a diesel Colorado or something hybrid. I wish that the new electric F-150 wasn't going to cost $70k.

lol. Yeah I have their saddle bag and handle bar pack, will have to look into the frame bag if they still make em, but no imediate trips planned as I'm doing the PCT this summer.

The taco with the wilderness was such a sick combo, I just sold my Wildernest too. Hope you enjoy the super pacific!

PCT sounds great! It sounds like there might be a little bit of snow left out there this summer.
