Vicious hit

Hopefully this guy will be ok....I am a Canadian, a hockey (Oilers)fan all my life and this IMO is easily the most vile and vicious attempt to injure a player I have ever seen.

If I were the man in charge of NHL Discipline Chara would not play again for a very long time.

Did he hit the opening of the door?the hit itself didn't seem crazy but the wall fukd him up

 

Yeah, Chara is a beast. It does not take a hockey fan to see that Chara intentionally ran the Hab into the post.

 

IMO he should have been charged with assault for that hit.

Despicable absolutely despicable.

That's ridiculous. Any where else on the ice that might have been called for interference....Might not. And those two get at each other pretty regularly.

I have seen more vicious intended hits in the game. That just looked like Chara was trying to finish his it into the board and it just happened to be where the glass changed height. I am sure it was not a calculated hit to run the guy long enough along the board so he could then slam his head into the edge of the glass.
It is painful to watch. What does bother me is the trainer placing his hands and chest onto the back of the player who clearly has a head/neck injury. seems like a little too much contact for such a severe injury.

 

Nasty, but part of the game
