    4 run, 2 don't
Ever drove a vehicle with one?

I run one in my Land Cruiser but I've read (and been told by friends even) that it isn't a good choice in such a lightweight vehicle.

Rear end can kick in when you least expect it.

Again, no experience with it in a small truck.

I have. This truck spends 98% of its life in 4 low on gravel and dirt. I was trying to get an Aussie but seems like they don't make it for the 8.4 rear dif??
I've done some googling but cant confirm i'm ordering the right locker for my application...
also considering a Powertrax No Slip Locker that i found here: www.rocky-road.com/noslip.html

I had a Lockrite lunchbox locker in the rear of my 98 Prerunner years ago. As far as I know you can still get them. Worked great but you gotta be careful in slick conditions or it will lock up on you and the light rear end can swing out

The Lockrite I had was notorious for the ratcheting sounds around corners and occasional BANG when it unloaded so that option there does seem better. I think this was the one I had
