Ah you've reminded me of an approach @HisDad

Spray with water and cleaner (I'm not sure if simple green will work) then scrub with a drill brush.

    https://youtube.com/shorts/6jO-8EnYO60?feature=share

    Then a shop vac

It's basically the manual steps of the carpet cleaner in a box that me and Nick are talking about.

The cloth is pretty forgiving and it's not s Ferrari. Don't have to be gentle :D

Oof. I used to live on that stuff. Mornings in high school rock into class and then psssshk time for a few! People gave me a hard time but it's not that much different than iced coffee which fuels New England.

I don't drink caffeine anymore but back then - oof. It was funny, during rides we'd have Mt Dew branded bottles but we'd dump them out and fill them with water because after 2 or so, it's just a lot.

don't use that drill brush on upholstery. I have one, it's stiff bristled and will ruin softer fabrics. They're perfect for vehicle carpet, not the seats though.

I know you guys have a mod day but I feel like I have to much stuff to get done. If there is anyone looking for some extra cash I will gladly pay for some work done. My truck already has a lift but is worn out. What I’m looking to have done- new front c/o which I have Boss aluminum series. New upper control arms which I have JBA. Also new bolts if you want to cut the old ones off. Rear shocks and leaf springs which I also have boss springs and shocks. Also have new u bolt’s. And if anybody is up to it I would also like to do my ECG bearing. Which I also have with the tool and new seal. The only thing I don’t have which I need to replace is my cv axle. I will get one if it’s something you can replace. It has LR upper control arms in it now if you know anybody that wants them.

Forgot to mention I’m located in Fremont NH. I’m not from the mass border and don’t mind travel within reason. I will supply beer lunch and dinner if it takes that long. For you and any friends that help.

Last time I was in the shop they told me both c/o were leaking and my passenger side cv boot was torn. I had plans on replacing the lift but not the cv.

I can do all the work or if you want I can just do the bushing at a mod day, which ever you prefer. As @AllTacosFloat said I've done around 30 of them, best time for a cv change and the bushing is during a lift install since it's mostly apart already

I think I'm a minority on this but I replace them once they start clicking or locking up on slow turns

No clicking noise that I’m aware of but i did start to get a vibration in the truck right before the told me this. I was thinking of changing both of them while it was apart.

Really I would like to get it all done in a weekend. I don’t know if all of this can be done in a day or not.

Vibration might be from something else, but they're easy enough to replace and the drivers side has to come out to do the ECGS bushing anyways

Within in the next 4 weeks if possible. If not I can try to push it out. It’s do for a sticker end of March I can go as far as first week of April. I was told they won’t pass it with a leaking cv boot. I already had all the other stuff but they said they can’t put on parts I bring in because they can’t warranty or guarantee fitment. They quoted me a ridiculous price to do the cv.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I just have to wait until the weather warms up. Which will happen in the next week or so, I guess.

Although, winter isn't giving up all that easily.

I might be able to do that. If they quoted you for an OE axle from toyota then I could see it being really high as the cv from toyota is $350 or more each.

Also, just realize that I'm 2 hours and 20mins away at least from Fremont, NH. I'm also not a shop but do quality work

Depending on the day, I might be able to come and help out to have it run a little faster if you are going to do it at your garage Drew.
