Tight lugs more often than not since they go from completely fine, to not

Loose lugs if you're completely oblivious for a long time to your wheel being literally loose and even than I've seen 2 vehicles loose their tires with all lug studs intact

He had the bead locks off a day or so ago to replace the bead lock bolts with something heavier duty.

They have everything coming at noon to get the wheel back on and rolling. Building and welding on a shock mount may be a challenge on a Saturday morning.

I bet there is a mobile equipment repair with a welder somewhere in that area. I figure it might get most business from repairing tractors in the field.

I was surprised the guy in the Tacoma didn’t break anything in his front end haha. I guess since it’s slick and muddy there’s less chance of shock loading the front diff/axles though.

You really underestimate the front of these trucks, man you can really beat on them a lot. I've left the ground many times and broken nothing in the front, the worst thing that's happened to my front end in 10 years of 1st gen ownership is a busted CV axle, and I did that to myself knowing full well it was bound up and trapped.

AHC is garbage and I'll fight any of the Mud weaklings over that, wanna know why the LC doesn't come with it but the mom wagon lexus does? Cause it is for on road comfort only. Yeah honestly the LC 100 series guys are next level on some of the "purity" shit compared to the 80 series guys and frankly I don't get it, 100 series aren't even collectable and pretty much every part is still available new from Toyota if you want to build your own showpiece or collectors item.

There are always a couple of purists with a group of followers that parrot off the purity verses. LOL

That was a 2nd gen in the video so I think the IFS is even beefier: I wanna say they have an 8” diff instead of the 7.5”, and stringer CVs.

The CVs are roughly the same size but yeah the diff is an 8" clamshell. The 2nd gen front end is hard to break with small tires like those.

I think if I were gonna get into a J100 I'd look for a 98-99 with a rear locker and swap in a 4-pinion diff.

I don't have any love for the 2UZ or the t-bar front suspension. But I would absolutely love to import a 105 series one day. Then you can still get front solid axle, rear full float, and the higher power coil pack 1FZ with a manual.
