I assume its some stigmatism. Im still in the dreaming phase. Gotta stay in my house for about 5 more years. But it's something on my mind

 

So I think i need to reseal my 3rd member at the axle. Do i need to pull the axles out a little to get enough room to get sealant in between 3rd and axle?

(i really dont want to move the axles) if i can get enough room to scrape the old material off, and apply new sealant by hand

Lots of short trips in cold weather? That's what mine have always looked like in the winter. Just all the condensation in the engine getting caught.

 

Yea. Guess it doesn't help that my commute is 10 min. I have been trying to warm up the truck a bit before going

Just pulled my clutch cover off the F800GS and I have a shitload of the same goop, ugh. I should probably empty the 4Runners catch can today, too. Short trips without getting to burn off the condensation that builds up out of the air when the engine cools off will foul up your oils appearance pretty quick.

 

Usually on the bike i let it warm up, while i try to connect my headset and put my gear on

 

Yeah, so for me, I do the same, but that takes me all of a minute. Then I'm riding to work in like 30 degree or whatever weather all of 10 minutes or less, and it just doesn't get a chance to get anywhere near boiling point let alone long enough to actually evaporate off the condensation. One good long ride and it'll all burn off, I just haven't had time in a while.

Oh well, fml, I'm going to be doing like three oil changes in a row coming up real quick anyway with the new clutch and trying to flush out all the old crap. Then by that point it'll maybe be spring and warm haha

 

We haven't gotten any snow this year. I think you got all of ours. Im ready for warm

my friend overlanded to Belize. He's there now. I think he's driving to the southern tip of South America. Jelly of everyone!

And the guy im going to do the NEBDR with, went to Aruba for 3 weeks (and left his gf at home )
