What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Free mods are the best haha. I think it might be more susceptible but the same goes for people who run steel front bumpers. I run 295/70r17, roughly 33.5” tire so I think it’ll look good too! I can get a side profile shot tomorrow

I'm right there with ya, I'm pretty particular about my stuff. I think I reset the tape line about 5 times before cutting lol. I actually just used a hack saw to do it. I saw a video of someone who used a cut off wheel and it melted/burned the plastic so I was able to take my time and make sure the line was nice and straight

 

That's probably something I'd do as well. What did you line it with? Or put over the edge? I know what it is, just forgot what it's called/what size to use.

 

It’s called door edge trim in 1/2” width. I got it from Autozone but honestly it’s not very good and the adhesive isn’t the best. I just wanted to get something on there for now, but I’ll probably order a roll off of Amazon that’s more durable

 

Not really today, but wanted to be a bit more active posting for fun. Lifted with Bilstein 6112/5160, Dakar medium load leaf with extra leaf added and Archive Garage U-bolt flip kit with superbumps. Truck is only 2WD but got the shocks and leaf pack for a killer deal so I couldn't resist. Here's where I am with the truck now! Got some other things in the works for it.

Finally got rid of the rats nest my battery was becoming with recent electrical add ons of the ultimate H4 headlight upgrade and harness, an LED bar in the bumper, bed lights, and ARB compressor. Used the Amazon special LAFORMO fuse block bracket for a BLUE SEA 12 ct block. Still need a couple more wires to clean up, and id like to get all the relays mounted on top of the bracket next to the single.

This was my first big wiring project and it feels awesome when it all comes together and the wires begin to disappear.

 

Well, it's not even a day old and I'm going to remove the Bestop soft topper, change oil and filter, air filter, plugs, cabin filter and look at changing AT fluid. 142,xxx, truck in immaculate and extremely well cared for so not sure where to start or what to use but here goes!!! Let me know what y'all think...thanks...

 

Just switched lugs from black to chrome for more depth and not everything is dark. Any recomendation for lugs besides the spline drive ones?

 

More photos is more better! I measured and it’s 6” from the top of the bumper to the cut line, it’s about 1 1/4” under the fog light bezel and then it ends where the bumper meets the lower middle section if that makes sense. Again I’m on 295/70R17 and about 2.25-2.5” of lift

 

Well, last Saturday I blew up my rear differential, so now old girl is in the shop getting 5.29’s and a locker. I’ve got a 4X Innovations wrap around swing out bumper to install once she gets home.

That being said, I did slip some pieces of vinyl tube over the balls on the ball mounts to damp vibrations when wheeling (but that would be the case for me with any ball-mounted accessory).
