Big one out near you is Pott's Mountain. You'll also be a bit closer to some spots northeast of that like Peters Mill. Plus you're close to WV.

The other day I learned that Jeep made a 2wd Wrangler for a few years in the mid 2000s, I can't wrap my head around that one.

 

So you're saying I am fat? Jerk!

Been looking for a wrecked 4x4 for parts but no luck so far. 60k less miles than yours for half the price though is hard to not entertain. Especially when covered in imperial jade. We will see of it manifests, so far scheduling hasn't worked out but the weather has been snowing and icy here, so I hope I'm front of the line.

 

Many were purchased by companies for rentals IE Enterprise, etc.

 

that makes sense, less likely for people to rent them and take them for 4wd joyrides and break stuff

 

You could get 2wd FJ40 Cruisers. Believe it was a JDM thing. Still weird.

 

I understand making 2wd versions of Tacomas, 4runners, etc...they are highly more popular in this region than their 4wd counterparts. No real need for 4wd but the utility of a pickup and SUV is still required.

But a 2wd Wrangler? I just cant see why, must be why they only offered it for a couple years

 

And a good handful made it to the public.

You'd be surprised the stupidity that comes from people when they explain why they shouldn't buy a 4x4.

And I'm not saying we were trying to get people to take their trucks offroad, but our dealerships (and many nearby) truck inventory consisted of over 95% 4x4 with a handful of 4x2 in specific configurations (single cab, work truck, etc).

So when someone would tell my salesman why they won't buy an LTZ or Laramie 4x4 they'd say "all that extra money in maintenance..." or "it makes all your parts cost more money..." and the best one "you lose like 10mpg from all the extra weight"

 

Yeah its certainly a weird move given the whole idea of the Wrangler.

 

I'v seen a few 2wd Grand Cherokees but a Wrangler! That makes no sense!
