We debated that for a short while but it just felt wrong lol. Plus, when she can't open a door she'll rattle the door knob until it damn near falls off (old Craftsman doors) and we can't have that

    "Value truck" lol.

Thinking of offering to buy the topper off it but pretty sure I don't want to deal with a place that lists a 320k mile truck with holes in the center console for $15k.

It's listed for $12.5k on Marketplace, which is still silly.

Even more silly (and sus)... it was listed for something like $6.5k the first time I checked their site, even thought it was $12-15k (I don't remember exactly) on Marketplace at the same time.

Is it just me or is there nothing good for sale on marketplace anymore?

Marketplace is more popular than Craigslist around here, which is a shame because I'd rather have nothing to do with Facebook.

There's good stuff, but it doesn't last long. Sifting through it all is a commitment.

The days of the marketplace/CL deal are gone. When they do show up they're so uncommon that everyone and their dog wants to buy it. 2019 was peak.

Like @6P4 said. You have to basically commit to scrolling through a broken Facebook website 24/7 now.

Some people also don't like posting and would rather sell via word of mouth; typically end up getting a better deal because someone actively looking is a much more serious buyer.

It's why I'd ask or make it known I'm looking, and I get a much better deal. Sellers don't have their "guard up" as much compared to a rando messaging you off of FB.

Posting something is just begging to get a ton of inquiries from tire kickers that have no real interest in said vehicle.

Yeah... selling hasn't been a good time lately. I used to enjoy buying and selling things on Craigslist. I met some interesting people buying and selling things in Chicago. I'm not sure if it's Colorado, or the stuff I'm buying/selling (bike parts vs truck parts) or just post-2019, but the process lately has been much less enjoyable.

Oh man, Chitown is especially different.

Depending on what you're selling will bring a crowd you didn't know existed.

Had became friends with 2-3 different people from selling stuff on there because of the hobby we shared; I was a huge audiophile and came across some really nice Krell, Mcintosh, Magneplanar, BAT amps and more.

Easily one of the best features lately. It gets crazy if you feed it a raw image too

That reminds me... this guy Casper once fixed a stereo for me. It was a cheap old Fisher thing. He didn't even want to work on it, but it was my dad's old system that he's had forever and I wanted to keep it running, so Casper took pity on me.

Anyway, Casper ran a repair shop out of his apartment. All sorts of testing equipment, and bank of resisters under his bench to simulate speaker load without making noise. He had some giant speakers in his living room that he just used to watch Hitchcock films. I think they actually came from a movie theater.

Grab a beer or a coffee and make it happen. I didn't wanna do shit yesterday, but buddy came over and we smoked a couple cigars and yanked a transmission out and cleaned a whole bunch of parts.

I woke up feeling zero motivation to do anything today too lol. I feel like whatever flu my wife and daughter have had for the last week+ keeps starting to affect me then goes away, it's weird.
