This has inspired me. I’m gonna go tomorrow and put money down on a 2034 5th Gen.

Keep in mind it's Canadian money folks. Plenty to go around.

A deposit? On a place in line? For a vehicle that doesn’t exist yet? Who would be that.. oh yeah.

Probably close to a 2 year wait for one, and be like the Tundra Hybrid and only get 1 MPG average better.

Probably. I’m hoping they will make it a plug in hybrid though. Smallish 20kwh battery pack would be enough an all electric range of 30-40 miles while being easily rechargeable with a standard wall outlet at home. Cheap local driving, much improved low end torque when using both gas and electric and no problem with long trips with the gas engine.

I can see that happening if they decide to make a competitor to the Maverick. Especially if they used the underpinnings of the Rav4 since the Prime already exists.

When it's announced here it's real. When a Toyota vehicle is posted on the corporate site with pricing you can put a deposit on it. Not before. So I dunno how you put money on a vehicle that doesn't exist yet but hey it's your $$.

The vibe I get with the ones with a deposit for a 4th gen hybrid is the lure of potentially flipping it for a healthy profit.

The last Tundra TRD Pro on carsandbids didn’t even hit MSRP in the flip attempt. Although I feel the Tacoma is better marketed than the Tundra.

Did you buy tires, wheels and a lift kit for it yet?
