When shifting from 1st to 2nd and sometimes shifting to 3rd it hesitates in acceleration like it wants to die out or hiccups I've changed my speed sensors the tps and maf and checked the vacuum lines I'm thinking idle air control valve or the ear didn't know if anyone had the same experience it only does it shifting normal if I don't shift until 4500 rpm it won't do it

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
    Welcome to the Forum!!

You are working on the 2003 Tacoma 2.7 5 speed?

Check for slack in the throttle cable. Cracked firewall.

Just a slight lag you feel in the engine response .

Can you notice anything when you just back off the throttle then press it down again.

At that high rpm you might not notice.

I am guessing no MIL light is being tripped.

    Happy trouble Shooting!

I can let off accelerating and get back into throttle fine it's mainly taking off from 1st to 2nd then it's like it loses all power until the rpms raises up it reminds me of my 87 when the carb needed rebuilt but I've cleaned the throttle body and intake and put a new fuel pump and filter I'm tired of buying parts to change lol

It is possible some flexing is causing an open circuit might be a ground might be any place .

could be as simple as a loose main ground

might be ignition related could be fuel related the engine quits and restarts .

a scanner able to read and store live data.

What is bad was bringing even more new parts into the mix .

Engine mounts in good shape not broken allow the engine to flex.

    Good luck!!

I've checked my grounds and cleaned them everything on this truck is factory 2003 I bought it from an old plumber I put a new clutch in it when I first got it and I did front and rear speed sensors on the driver side and the tps because they were all giving codes for it I haven't checked my motor mounts fully just visually and there weren't any cracks I use an aultel maxicom computer I did a maf sensor also I was thinking egr or idle air control valve next because idk if vacuum loss will show up on obd 2 I have an 87 toyota too so the electronics mess with me

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
When the truck is idling does the tachometer needle bounce a little bit or is it steady?

It bounces a little once it's warm and sits at idle I tested my coil packs and plugs and they seemed to be right occasionally sitting at idle for a minute it'll vibrate the truck and drop rpm to around 600

I’m going to go out on a limb and suggest new ignition coils

Ignition coils are gonna be my coil packs for the plugs rights? I ohm them out and they read right with the multi meter and power probe? Just wondering at this point I'm just throwing new components until it's right lol. I'm used to the 80's so this out of my wheel house I have an 87 toyota so I'm used to being able to advance the distributor and the Ignition coil is on the wheel well connected to the distributor

It's not showing on the computer for misfire or no fire I only have an 02 sensor bank 1 that has been on for years and never gave me a problem
