My birthday is tomorrow, but I had the meetup with everybody on Sunday so nobody would have to miss it for work.

The microwave clock seems to be working again, but the light still flickers...

 

Gonna see if Pete can install the new headlights today when he does the oil change...

My fun task was replacing the alternator Sunday..voltage was dropping and the unit was making a bad noise. Not gonna be shocked if it needs a new battery as well as it's 5 years old

 

Today is my Dad's birthday, miss him every day.

 

Sorry bro , what's his first name I'll say a short prayer for yinz. My dad's been gone for a few and I still think of him. Gets better with time.....

Peter did not end up replacing the headlights today because the process is much more involved and time-consuming than I previously thought, but he did change the oil as originally planned. While changing the oil, he discovered a coolant leak at the thermostat gasket. Turns out that I am not crazy after all, and my t truck's coolant level was not merely fluctuating. Thompson Toyota is within walking distance of Pete's place, so I drove there immediately after, and they are going to address the issue at no cost to me; I do not know if this involves yet another coolant flush, but it doesn't really matter to me because Thompson owned it and is covering it. Pete topped off the coolant for me this morning, and the truck goes in on Wednesday morning. It will be ready in plenty of my trip to Maryland with Amanda!

Same difference, just happy to hear it was found!

 

It happens, and it’s a simple fix.
They just have to add back what coolant that is lost during the process.
I wouldn’t worry about it.
