A good alignment shop should have zero issues doing this

    It's complicated.
Thank you for all of the suggestions & recommendations; they're all greatly appreciated. Perfect timing too, FedEx delivered one of the two leaf springs today.

They said “We use the 5074 struts since it has about a 1/3” more droop than the 50220 which pairs well with the aftermarket control arms that are on your truck”. Not sure how legit that is but as long as it’s valved the same…

Next curiosity, I’ve not been entirely happy with the amount of front lift so I got under the truck tonight to measure the coil seat height.

It’s not the most accurate measurement but it seems like the seat isn’t close to 213mm(8.38"), seems like it’s 8” or under. The end of the tape was at the base of the perch, where the top locknut and seat meet.

What’s your thoughts, does it looks like it’s set correctly for 314s?

edit: after reading more posts I thought i should add that I’m at around 21.5” hub to fender.

Can't tell from that photo. You should be at 22" hub to fender with stock weight and those set properly, so you'll want to raise it up a little.

5100’s w/AAL, Dobinson's 314 coils. 285/70-17 BFG KO2's, 17X8 Pro-Comp 89's 0 offset, BA Highline Front Bumper, K&N FIPK CAI. N-Fab Podium steps, Gatorz Low Profile Hard tri fold Bed Cover.
So I have a BA HighLine Bumper no Winch and may or may not add one in the future. I have 5100’s and stock coils on top perch but they’ve sagged 1/2” since adding the bumper. My question is to get 352’s or 314’s.

Are you replacing the stock springs on the 5100s with Dobinsons springs? If you're planning on adding a winch, then I'd go with the 352s, and work your way up the perch when the winch goes in.

Yep, need to replace stock coils, not sure if I will even install a winch…. Want to make sure the352’s won’t be too harsh. Although I know stock coils are 700lb also

314s are 586 spring rate with a free ride height of 15.9449"
352s are 730 spring rate with a free ride height of 15.1575" :notsure:

You may need to test one spring and dial it in on the perch. If that doesn't work, you're only out the price of the other set of springs. I have the 352s with a slimline bumper and winch, and will be moving up to the 354s and removing the tophat spacers. I'd lean towards the 352 because you're thinking about getting a winch, but it's hard to say because I'm on the MRR coilovers, and you're on 5100s, so the ride and adjustments are different. :notsure: Let us know how it works out!

The L59-111-R are the closest to 3" with stock weight (they're like 2.75" on an empty dual cab short bed). They just sold out last week and will be out of stock for a few months. You can run the L59-112-R and remove the 5th leaf from the top to make them the same as the 111-R's, then keep that AAL handy in case you need more load support in the future.

2.5” OME lift, Koenig Six Shooter wheels, 275/70r17 Nokian Outpost AT, CMC, Nitro 4.88s, Greenlane aluminum sliders, CBI aluminum skid, Greenlane aluminum front bumper, Out Gear Solutions HC rear bumper, Baja SAE fogs
I could use some advice. I currently have OME shocks with 887 springs in front. In the rear I have Wheelers 1.5” progressive AALs, Rago hangers, alignment shims and stock overload springs. Also blue Sumo springs in place of bump stops.

    Problems:

    • After adding the hangars in the rear and a Greenlane Offroad aluminum bumper and winch in the front, my rake is a bit much, even though I run a an 80 lb Diamondback cover and 150 lb rtt. I could use at least another 0.5” in front.
    • My front articulation is not great, I’d like it to be more. Rear seems good.
    • I sometimes get axle hop in sand and snow. Seems to be a bit better with the Rago hangars.
    Any recommendations?
