Welcome (or welcome back?) to Tacoma World! Might be biased but those 2015 silver Tacos sure look good!

I will be out but not for lack of wanting to join in. Every year when applying for elk hunt tags I basically get put into purgatory waiting for draw results until April. Longer trips before then that would eat up my vacation time are a no-go. Big time jealous but excited to see all the things you guys find!

    ...

Had a weird & interesting weekend and catching up on things now, dang y'all been busy on here! I recall there was some talk a few pages back on kayaks. This weekend was Canoecopia in Madison, and I'd say if you are serious on paddle sports you should check it out. Some great deals to be had and just lots of cool stuff to see. The entire booth for Yakima racks was all Toyotas. And just walking the parking lot outside it seems Tacomas are a favorite amongst this crowd - big overlap in hobbies/interests.

I scored a new drysuit from Level Six - was $200 off for last day of the show and they never go on sale. Major deal but that means my dreams of DD fog lights has to wait now. Oh well, I can paddle a few extra months of the year now and not die of hypothermia. Looking to paddle more this year and beyond, definitely interested if anyone else had dreams of those kind of trips. Maybe someday I'll be good enough for whitewater but for now flatwater and class I/II are A-OK. Apostle Islands, Pictured Rocks, and Door County islands are definitely on the radar now.

Awesome! I used to camp onto Mondeaux Flowage every summer, and sometimes we would stay at North twin or the Miller Dam flowage. I love that area!

Mondeaux is an awesome spot. We frequently hike there in the summer/fall.

Yes, It is. Hence the stories about competition, flip cup, and shenanigans.

The MIL family is big and confusing. I always have to ask, how are you related.
I've been to quite a few family functions at the Hill of Beans restaurant by Timms Hill

My ex is from southeastern Indiana, basically across the river from Kentucky. We went to a small town party one time and someone had a book of the history of the town listing who's who.. Turns out pretty much everyone was interrelated. Ex commented "damn, and we used to pick on Kentuckians about inbreeding...."

Small world. My family is close with Lyle and Cathy (who run Hill of Beans). Some of my relatives run Mann Made Pizza in Rib Lake, and used to run the Do It Best Hardware Store in Prentice. @Pixeltim My dad used to joke he married my mom because she was the only one he wasn't related to haha - and it's kinda true.

Anyone have a single 1.25 wheel spacer sitting around collecting dust that they want to get rid of?

I installed mine in low 60s and it was stiff as hell. Worked out fine though (never mind the bleeding fingers). Sadly, during the most recent Polar vortex out west, I drove from Wisco to Colorado and at one point we were in -11 degree ambient with windchills pushing 20-30 below. My rear plastic window on my SOFTOPPER shattered when I lifted it just the slightest amount. Overall, happy with it and can't wait til warmer weather lets me put the side rolls up. Picture of it right after install (of course it rained).
