I thought last time I looked they didn't have stuff for 3rd gen, but it seems like they may have stuff now.
Not sure if this is something @crashngiggles can weigh in on.

I would personally think about getting upgraded springs first. The OEM springs are probably going to bottom out really quick with the weight you are looking at.
Then I would recommend the airbags on top of that.
E rated tires would be a good insurance.

    Thanks for the reply.

Springs. Yup. Was wondering if coil over springs instead of airbags would be enough and then no worries of maintaining air and all with airbags(?)

I am really wanting to be on the safer side and stay within reason.

I can't comment on that as I have neither of those. Maybe someone that does can weigh in on that.

You're not putting coilovers in the rear of a Tacoma without some serious fabrication. It's a leaf spring suspension, it's not set up for coils. You can find or build a custom leaf pack to deal with the weight if the Kimbo will live in the truck full time, or air bags are an option to help deal with the weight and you can air up or down depending on your needs/load. There are also urethane load levelers, look at SumoSprings, no air to deal with.

Same here, ran them in the F150 while I had that truck. I'm on good ole steel springs now, no supplementation needed on the current rig.

Serendipity! I was just looking at Sumo!
Thanks. I hear ya Pugga on F150. Had to keep things smaller and maybe minimalist for a Kimbo or now maybe a Moonlander camper and push the payload a bit. I’m not a race car driver and really wanna fit in driveways and get off road when we’re done helping folks off to the here after of recovery.

thanks for suggestions from real world experiences. It’s valuable!
