I ended up catching 2 more I’m teaching the new rod bad habits I’m going somewhere else after lunch.

 

What I have found out that helps immensely, stop using salt on everything that I used to do . And eat smaller portions, and healthy snacks when you have the hunger urge. I've dropped from over 200 to 180 just doing that.

 

Nice rod. I have 4 wt 8 ft.

 

I have the older version in a 9’ 5w and it’s been a good rod very fast action great streamer rod. I bought this one strictly as a euro rod I’m starting to do a good bit of that and I really like that they are made here.

Add enough mustard or killer hot chili sauce (habanero based at the very least) and that will kill the nasty taste

It's a damp and overcast day, only about 40° outside. It looks like the storm put a bullseye on Mike again, then another one on the horizon for the end of the week.

No job leads yet, just the usual parasites from temp companies on Indeed that think I will drive 90 miles each way to do a 30 day temp job in NoVa for $15/hr.

I was checking out a short YT video from Heavy D Sparks.. they took all of the their big snow recovery equipment into Tahoe to help dig out people that have been snowed in for 2 weeks. They were showing labor companies that were charging between $1500- $3000+ to remove snow from the roofs of houses, with another storm on the way that will dump as much snow back onto the roofs. It seems like a bad place to be right now.

 

It was Big Bear/Lake Arrowhead area in San Bernardino

Yessa. ive fished that some back in the day you amaze me with spots you fish that i know and you dont even live here. South River runs about a mile East of my house flowing North.Middle River is about a mile West of the house flowing North also

I don’t have trout streams and rivers in my neighborhood I have to go where they are! Even the streams in sc that hold trout are 150 or so miles away from me. Now bass catfish and striper I’m eat up with that kind of fishing. I can be on santee in a hr and a half. What amazes me is people come from all over to fish that muddy swamp!

 

well if your looking for trout. look into the Bullpasture,Jackson and South Branch of the Potomac. all are west of the valley. colder water that holds trout. oh and the Maurey river in Goshen Pass. south of here.
