We hunt boar like that all the time back home in hawaii. Gets you alittle closer and gives you a little more respect for the animal.

he has said two different ways of doing it
one is drop down on them from above grab the snout, lift the head, and cut the throat (i really hope he is joking about this one, but who knows he is one tough guy, especially with a 5th degree black belt)
the other is with dogs and having the dogs hold it down

Ive done it with dogs when I was in Texas. Its quite intense and /I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

The dogs really impressed me- the "catch" dog used were American bulldogs and they were the sweetest dogs to be around but absolute death to hogs.

We in northern Ca. go pig hunting at Fort Liggett. The hogs will be sleeping during the day hours inside thick heavy manzanilla brush. You know where they are, but no one has the guts to crawl into the "tunnels" and fallow the pigs. Except this guy Tony my friend who has a 6ft. hiking stick suited with a bayonet lug at one of the ends.
When we get there he attachés the M7 bayonet and crawls in. Minutes later there will be pigs running everywhere, and one of them will have a 6ft stick attached to his neck. I have seen this many a time. He was born in Louisiana and use to hunt them with dogs.
    Take care

Here in Florida hogs are wild and a problem. Best solution is catch them , pin them feed them for two or three weeks and then kill them. The meat is better...

Ohio State had a linebacker named Anthony Schlegel who did a little in-game personal story bit. During part of it, he mentioned that on his ranch in Texas, he liked to go boar hunting with a knife and his dogs.

He was an animal of a linebacker as well..
