I think I'd question my sanity if I paid $48.5k for any truck.

Thinking of trading in my 2018 sport double cab 4 x 4 with 82,500 miles depending on what they give me for that as it’s in excellent condition

For a more accurate assessment, consider taxes and fees when comparing.

I paid 49k for a 4x4 limited black with dark brown leather for the exact same reason softer ride and I never have time to go off roading anymore. I drove a SR 4x4 for ruffly 6 years before one of the local shops offered me 25k trade for it. If they would not have offered me so much for my older truck I probably wouldn’t have done it

Somebody in my neighborhood has the same truck. It looks damn good, especially when the evening sun hits that Barcelona Red.

Yeah, I "requested" my TRD Sport in Blue Crush Metallic, my allocation came through with Barcelona Red Metallic; my wife have become quite fond of it, and yes, BRM shows off well.

Probably my favorite color, other than the one I own. BR also seems to be one of the rarer colors around me.

I'm not one that needs to go tooling around in a raptor, nor any truck costing near $50k. I didn't want to pay $35k for the truck I have now.

Unless you've been in the market for a Toyota in the last year, no one is going to understand how much these things actually cost.

My wife's 2019 SR5 4WD T4R got stolen 2 months ago and after we finally settled with insurance we started looking around. She's been driving my taco and we both don't like that lol.
I've been looking at prices ofT4R's for the last 2 months since I needed that to argue with insurance.
I know, it's not a tacoma, but they're close and some of this info still applies.

IMO 48K is pretty good for that '23 limited, or anything close to MSRP. Dealers around here are charging "addendum" or delivery fees and I can't get them to budge on that.
We were on our way to pick up a '22 4WD Sr5 premium T4R with 17K miles for $48.6K OTD. I worked those guys as best as I could to get there.
On the way we found a listing for another T4R that we missed, exact same car but with 3K miles more, listed for 44K (plus T,T&F).
I called them up and told them we were on our way to pick up that other car but if they could beat the price (told them it was 48K) we'd go straight to them instead.
There were a couple calls back and forth but they eventually agreed to $46.4K OTD.

We've always joked how these cars hold their value, well it's not funny anymore because they do that even better these days.
Stealerships know it so IMO best way to get a lower price is to make them compete with each other instead of you.
    Best of luck!

This is so true. Prices are steep due to inflation, the used car market crunch, the rush to buy cars before interest rates continue to rise, and the fact that mileage under 100k doesn’t seem to affect prices very much on Tacomas.

None to speak of, just enjoying it for the moment.
I got my 2022 Limited Nightshade for $45,654 in August 20220903_133816 (2022-09-03T20_45_42.819).jpg so I mean it is a year newer...

The Limited has the same suspension as SR & SR5 (black Hitachi shocks).
The sport suspension is stiffer (blue Hitachis).

What options or features does the Limited offer that you can't get with a fully loaded Sport or Offroad?

Some people question the sanity of a truck worth more than $4850. Just depends on your income levels

Put the Off Road shocks on my 19 Sport, kept the stock sway bar and very happy with the ride and handling.
