Can anyone give me recommendations on a pistol safe for the center console of my 2015 tacoma? Ive looked around a bit, but wanted to see if anyone had real experience with any brands out there.

Strongbox makes one. Made in America and lifetime guarantee. Personally if I’m out of my truck my gun is on me.

yea I agree with that line of thinking, but I can't carry for work. So next best option is to have it in the truck and put it back on for everything else.

I have a ‘LockerDown’ console vault and behind rear seat vault for rifles. Made in America. Good customer service. Multiple lock options.

Interesting, I wasn't aware they made one. Man, it's cheap, but I wonder how it compares to the others. Slightly thinner metal, which may or may not be an issue. I like that the lid opens to the side rather than back. Sucks they only have a key lock option but I'm wondering if you could just replace the lock mechanism with combination lock instead.

that is one thing i miss about being a tech, i would say at least 75% of us at the shop i worked at all has a locking drawer, and most of us would put it in the box at work and put them back on leaving.

now i work at a hospital and have a smaller lock box I use and absolutely despise.

Just do one of those gun in a book hiding places. Use a Bible and lay in on the passenger floorboard.

I just looked at it more deeply and it's really only a lid, not a full box. Still a decent deterrent depending on the situation but if someone really wanted to get inside I think it'd be much, much easier than something like the Lock'er Down.

Put it in shoe box for some work boots. Thieves won’t dare touch that!

I have the Lock'er Down and I make such good use of it. I don't carry a handgun, although mine would fit in there.

LOL. Don't underestimate criminals. Around here I would 100% expect a thief to grab workboots, especially if they're a good brand. When my apartment was broken into they even raided the fridge and stole a bag of frozen shrimp.
