No clouds, highs in the 60s, lows near 50 - Uneventful here.
Sorry for the rest of you. Being down here with the incessant rain, I am intensely aware of the phrase “too much of something”.

    Good Morning everyone :hattip:

Not much going on up here ‘cept some minor snow removal ops. I hear the folks down state are getting much worse.

    Good luck to everyone affected.

    Good morning guys.

Yesterday I stopped by the gun shop where a buddy works. This followed me home

S&W is running a $100 rebate on their full size guns if anyone is thinking about getting one.

I really want one of these, but I'm thinking of waiting until they have a PC version. Another buddy bought one last month. He hates the trigger, what's your opinion of the trigger on yours?

M&P triggers are and always have been pretty much garbage. The Apex Trigger kits make them quite good though!

Particularly for the 1st gen guns, the 2.0 triggers were a bit better. I've installed APEX kits on most of my 1.0 guns, but I've found that to be unnecessary on the 2.0 and especially the PC guns. It could be that my buddy just likes to grump about S&W whenever possible.:notsure: We'll get together for a plinking weekend next month and I'll get to play with it myself. Who knows, a trade might be in the works for my G20.:fingerscrossed: I know I grump on Glock at least as much as he does on S&W.

Canada does have some laws that take lol the fun out of stuff.

I’ve always been a Glock guy because of work issuing them so my perception if based on them. All of my Glocks have Apex flat face triggers and kits too.

So far it’s OK, it was pretty gritty at first but after I put some oil on the trigger bar it smoothed up some. I’ve put 50 rounds through it and dry fired probably 100 more snaps and I think it’s smoothing out. I’ll leave it alone for now.

I initially tried the G20 but it’s like grabbing a 2x4, the grip is just too big for me to feel comfortable with. The M&P feels fine with the medium backstrap and even better to me with the small. Feels kinda of like a flat mainspring 1911. I got this for a woods gun instead of carrying my .357 or .45 LC. I can shoot the revolvers fine but there’s no denying the pistols are easier to shoot. Plus 15 in the gun beats carrying 2 speedloaders. I’ve honestly been more concerned with tweekers in the woods than animals so this covers both bases for me nicely.
